Amanda is Rej's sister, and she was really confused. She felt as though there is something wrong with Rej, these past few weeks..no not just these past few weeks. It was since she got into an accident. The accident that made the lower half of her body paralyzed.
Rej has always been a shy, awkward kid, but she's really brainy. Amanda is brainy too but she's also friendly and good-looking. Rej always looked up to her, and their parents were always proud of her.
Now don't get this wrong..their parents were proud of Rej too, but well, she's nothing compared to the all-too-perfect sister of hers..that's what she thinks. Sadly, though in a way their parents favored Amanda.
Rej walked out of her room to eat breakfast.
She was starting to pour the milk down to her cereal bowl when..
"Regina..." A voice echoed across the room, It was Amanda.
Rej groaned and stirred her cereal. "Why would you use my full name..."
Amanda turned to her and said "You are really..really acting weird..You have something up your sleeve..
"...What is it?.."
Rej glared at her and said. "Why would I tell you?" It was more of a challenge.
"Is it about what happened to me?" Rej asked but that wasn't exactly a question, she knew the answer.
What happened to you... Yeah right! This is about what happened to you.
Rej could vougely remember that day. The day that Amanda was hit by a car.
"That!...that damn accident happened!...." Rej shouted at the top of her lungs..
"....now Mom and Dad is expecting too much from me!"
Amanda was taken aback. "No..you do not have to live up to their expectations!"
"It's because they lost you...that's why they throw it all to me! The responsibilities..YOU are supposed to live by!" Rej screamed
"..heck! I am freaking tired...but but..I need to do it.. Impress them..our parents!
....Because you can't do it anymore, I have to be you! But I can't be you!" Rej stuttered.
Amanda looked down. It wasn't her fault she got hit by a car.
Rej walked nearer to Amanda and caressed her chin gently.
"But I love you...I can handle all the pressure..I just hate to see you like that..that you can't move" Rej said,her tone softened.
Amanda looked at Rej's eyes..it was full of admiration and it scared her..Rej still depended on her, she still has this inferiority complex.
"There is nothing that you could do about my legs anymore.." Amanda said sincerely
"...I moved on already...You should just accept that too.."
