Chyna
Nerve wracked as I counted down the days till Xavier's arrival. The more I tried to stop thinking about it, the more I worried and worked myself up. Four days left. Mrs White's words just floating around in my head. What if he was sent to boarding school because he was a maniac or worse a paedophile? Whatever the reason I would keep my distance.
"Chyna I am going to the market then to Suzie's house, I will be back in a few hours". I furrowed my eyebrows as what she meant by her going grocery shopping was one of the shopping assistants would be picking and carrying around everything as she commanded them, then she would go to Suzie's house.
Suzie was her childhood best friend and gossip partner. They were always around each other and mischief always occurred around the both of them, it was as if they were re-living their childhood again.
Jennie was out again, Mr White was at work, which he usually was at because he went to work early in the morning and came back late in the night. So I had the house to myself for a couple of hours. I would spend them wisely. So I turned on the radio to Pandora's Box and played XO by Beyonce. Growing up she always inspired me, her voice and her confidence.
I don't like to brag but I can sing quite well also. One of my many hidden talents that I would like to stay hidden. When the house is empty, which is rarely, I turn on the music and dance, just letting myself go. Forgetting about all the stresses, that is what music does to you, sets you free.
Then came on one of my old classical favourites Stanky Legs by The GS Boys, I swayed my hips to the music and twirled and recited all the dance moves to the best I could remember them.
As I washed the dishes, moving all the pans to the top right hand cupboard where they belonged. I heard footsteps within the house. I paused the music and called out Mrs White's name and no one responded, and then tried calling Jennie's name, yet no one responded either. I was now freaking out; I don't deal well under pressure.
Sweating and apprehensive I stood still for about a few minutes just to make sure no one was truly in the house, satisfied no one was around, I continued the music and carried on dancing, until my music paused. It did that frequently so I waited for it to refresh. But it didn't...
"I will smash this flipping music player, why has it stopped working again". Then I was shocked when someone chuckled deeply and replied "Maybe because someone paused it". My head turned abruptly and so sharply I think I sprained my neck. Pain shot through it. But as I took in the sight before me all pain was released. A god sent was standing in front of me. My jaw dropped and I wouldn't be surprised if I was drooling.
Xavier
A Few Hours Ago...
"Due to unforeseen circumstances students may all vacate four days earlier than expected. Accommodation may be provided for all those that are unable to make it home." We all sniggered at the back of the assembly hall as the "unforeseen circumstances" was not a coincidence. We had been planning this for weeks, planning every detail to a "T". But I do feel sorry for Mr Jefferson; he will probably be on crutches for months. During science we were doing frog dissection and we released a whole load of frogs in each classroom and let them breed, soon our school was infested with frogs.
I wanted to get home, being inside a boarding school for months on end could really take a toll on someone. Lessons and lessons consistently and visitations on every two weeks Saturday. My mother nagged me too much, I refused visitations from her, and she was so upset. But she got used to the fact after hours of her whining at me down the phone.
So I got on the next flight out to California, it would only take about two hours, seeing as I schooled in Arizona, so I could surprise my mum. Doing one nice thing for her would be good seeing as I was a very troublesome child growing up. It was around 7pm in the evening and I am bummed. Walking to the front door, I could hear my bed calling me and my eyes were on the verge of shutting.
But as I walked into my house I heard music playing. It was an upbeat song and that told me that it wasn't my mother in the kitchen. But my little squirt of a sister would never be in the kitchen, she was lazy as hell, maybe I will give her the benefit of the doubt. So I crept into the house slowly, trying to scare her.
But as I approached the kitchen. It wasn't Jennie, it wasn't my mother. There was a fair skinned girl standing in there, dancing and swaying to the music. Whoa... She could really dance I thought to myself. I hadn't even realised that I had been staring at her so intensely but I still loved a practical joke, so I stood there leaning against the post of the door.
"I will smash this flipping music player, why has it stopped working again". She said as I paused her music trying to catch her attention as I had been standing there for five minutes and she still hadn't noticed me, so I responded, startling her. "Maybe because someone paused it". I chuckled and as she turned around she just stood there, not saying anything but just staring as if she had seen a ghost.
I walked forward and snapped my finger in front of her face, she just blinked and before I knew it, I was pinned against the wall with my hands behind my back and my shoulder blades feeling like they would snap if I struggled. She had such fast reflexes and had a hell of a grip.
"Who the hell are you and what are you doing in this house?" She said so sternly I knew she was not playing but before I could answer the front door opened and in waltzed my mother with a look of horror on her face.
"Get off my son, Chyna. What do you think you are doing?" Immediately, I felt the grip on my arm released and the look on her face was a mixture between bewilderment, nervousness and shame. At least I knew her name, Chyna. Very peculiar.
Chyna
Son...? What did she mean son? As soon as I realised who he was I released my grip on his arm and nervousness and shame came down on me like a tonne of bricks. Way to go Chyna, firstly you haven't even set up his room and now you have just pinned your master's son against a wall almost breaking his shoulder. Even the position we were in was compromising, how I would explain this. I was in a very sticky situation and getting me out of it would be very tricky.
Chapter Two Complete. Hopefully, it is longer than the first one. What a weird situation to explain and I put Xavier's POV so that you could get a feel of the type of character he was. Very mischievous. I promised to update in two days and I did.
But I will try and get the next chapter up in the next three - four days.
