Stop!
stop joking about abuse
it's not funny
it never was
People think joking about abuse
is funny
but it's not
I should know
It makes some people anxious
when you joke about abuse
I can tell you
it's not fun
I've had everything from bruises on my arm
to scratch marks on my face
it sucks
it destroys
But it also doesn't always last forever
it;s hard to go through
and even harder to overcome
but you can do it
So please stop joking about it
because some people are trying to recover
I'm still surviving and recovering
you can too
