Chapter 5

Chapter 5:

That night Samuel never returned to our chambers. I was met with a cold abandonment. The room with all its glamour and fillings offered nothing but loneliness. For the first time in my life, I felt truly alone. Was I awoke the next day I was reminded of the strange act last night, as my neck released stabbing pains. Groaning I trudge through the room into the bathroom, the automatic lights flickering on and dimming as I raise to cover my eyes. The mirror nowhere to be seen as first, slowly exposes itself as it appears on the wall.

I turn my neck to be a red area surrounded by a complete set of teeth marks. The bastard bit me!

I release a huff and proceed to dab on cold water on the wound, that soon proves to be the wrong move as it burns and sends goosebumps up my arms. From the day being here my appearance is already changing. My brown hair is now glossy with slight curls and my body seems to be thinning even more like all the air is being sucked out of me and leaving only the little muscles I have. My cheekbones look like Angelina Jolie's and my lips look humongous.

My body strangely feels energized and relaxed even with the weight loss. I shift off the silk nightgown I had thrown on and began to search for the shower. The bathroom was neither provided a shower or bathroom and I was stumped. Perhaps Kimuchans didn't take showers? Noticing a door to the left I open it to see where it leads.

Inside is a beautiful sight. The floor is glass, but with every step, it textures with little bumps to provide grip. The walls were black and stony with rough edges. In the middle of the room was a giant glowing purple small pool. encased by the stone. A small stream of up top filtered the water in and out.

Walking over to the pool and the magnificent purple color I place my hand inside. The liquid was denser than water when inside but as soon as I lifted my hand out it fell. The liquid was the perfect mixture of hot and cold, as I assumed this is where the King took his baths.

To the left of the pool was a panel inside the cave walls. Tapping the blue screen in an unknown language to me were two clear options 'Imbrem' and 'balneum'. Picking the first option I gasp as the stone pool drops but the liquid remains in perfect placing. Slowly, it drops until it all is drained into the ground somehow and again I'm left stunned.

Th panel beeps again with four colors, a scarlet, tangerine, opal, and sapphire.  I tap the sapphire and a beautiful flower appears before the panel pushes slowly into the cave as the stone encloses around where it once was. Slowly I stand over where the liquid was to investigate where it went. Slowly drops of the purple liquid begin to drop over my head with an enticing aroma. The smell of roses, a crisp grape, and a fresh wind smell wafted from the drops.

The drops have now turned into a low waterfall and pour down on me. Even with its heavy stream, I can always breathe. I spend hours undress the plush water rubbing my body down with the amazing smelling water. After another thirty minutes, the water slows before coming to a complete stop. I frown as the stream of the hot water surrounds me, sad the water turned off.
