"____ my baby! You're safe!" My mother jogged towards me, wrapping me in her arms. Her eyes were visibly filled with tears, I could only imagine how she felt with me missing for weeks.I had just pulled into to the police station where she had been anxiously waiting for my arrival.
"You're safe, I thought you might've been-" Mother had held me tighter as she abruptly stopped the sentence. A clear tear drop running down her left cheek and onto my shoulder.
"I'm sorry ma'am but I'm going to have to take your daughter into questioning." The platinum blonde police chief had interrupted our reunion moment.
"Alright I'll be waiting." Mother had told the officer shakily, letting go of me.
"____ i'm gonna need for you to come with me for a little questioning if that's alright." The police-man whos name tag read 'Officer Zwingli' had told me.
We then proceeded to enter a small cramped room with a desk, wooden chair on each side of the desk and one single half lit ceiling light hanging from above.
He closed the metal door and pulled down the blinds so no one could peek inside of the room; giving the room a even more eerie but private feel.
"So ____ we know your captor, Alfred told us most of what we know so im going to ask you a few verification questions and a bit more in detail questions." He told me going to the available seat on the other side of the table.
Before asking me the questions he had read me the required miranda rights and he went straight into asking.
"The man who was your captor, could he be identified as Matthew Williams?"
"Yes sir."
"Did the suspect known as Matthew Williams, prior to the event of your kidnapping show ill feelings towards Alfred F. Jones in anyway?"
"If I remember correctly, yes sir."
"Do you know the address where suspect Matthew Williams took you during your abduction?"
"No sir."
"Did suspect Matthew Williams harm you over the brief period of time?"
You started having flashbacks, your knees were getting weak and your pace of breath started to quicken. You were about to have a panic attack, and the cramped dark space you were was not making it any better. You couldn't respond.
'Salope Ingrate' the words of Matthew had echoed through your head.
Officer Zwingli had studied my movements and could tell that I was obviously uncomfortable so he cut the interrogation short; closing his eyes and letting out a breathy sigh, he got up from his wooden seat.
"_____ that'll be all, its time for you to see the health unit. After that you'll be cleared for going home, I don't wanna keep you in an uncomfortable place any longer." He explained to me as he walked over to the metal door he had shut in the beginning, turning the silver handle and gesturing for me to exit.
"The health unit will be straight ahead, and to your left." He directed me.
"Ok." I gasped out trying to pace breathing; leaving the room I head to the health unit when all of a sudden I bump into something causing a loud crashing sound. I then began to panic due to my previous flashbacks that the interrogation had brung back along with the loud noises.
"_____ it's just me, I didn't mean to frighten you!" Alfred had tried to reassure me everything was okay, gripping the wheels on his wheelchair tightly and gritting his teeth out of pure worry.
