"April...April...April..." Summer's voice coos at me.
"Go away!" I mumble.
"April...April!"
"What!"
"Wake up, you bum fat."
"No."
"Yes."
"Never.
"Okay..." Summer slowly begins to walk away. Suddenly, she turns around and tackles me. Then she tickles me.
"Wake up April!"
"Alright, alright I'm up!" I say between giggles. "Now get off me!"
We both laugh. Summer suggests we go to the bakery and get muffins for breakfast and I agree. She goes into her room and starts to get ready. we have been roommates for almost one year, and I never get tired of her.
I take off my blue polka dot pajamas and take out my long blonde braid. I hop in the shower and begin to sing as I wash my hair. See, I love singing, but I can't sing in front of people unless I'm in a group.
I finish taking my shower and grab a towel. I walk over to my bed aid with floral covers and start dressing myself with the outfit laid on my bed: a pastel pink dress that falls just above my knees with small white butterflies all over it and a black belt. Then I put on black earrings. I walk into the bathroom and wipe the fog from the mirror and start to brush my hair. After I've brushed it out, I braid my long, blonde wavy hair into it's usual braid down my back. Then I put on mascara, eyeliner and lip gloss.
I grab my iPhone and ten dollars and put them in my pockets.
"Summer!" I shout. "You ready yet?"
"No! I still have to do my makeup, duh!"
Typical Summer. She needs to look perfect in case 'the one' comes by.
A few minutes later, I hear Summer stumble down the stairs. I roll my eyes in a joking way and walk outside.
We head down the street towards our favorite bakery: The Muffin Man.
Once we get there, I order two blubbery muffins and two hot chocolates while Summer gets us a seat.
I sit down on the velvet couch next to Summer when she whispers "101!" -That's her code for 'I think the one is here.'- and she points to a waiter bringing our food to us. Summer smiles at him and looks down. The waiter places the food on the table. "Thank you," says Summer. "Anytime." replies the waiter. Then he winks at her and walks away. I raise my eyebrows and eat my muffin.
Soon, the waiter comes back to take our food. "What's your name?" Asks Summer.
"River." replies the waiter. "Do you wanna...maybe...grab a bite...tonight...with me...if you want...?"
Summer blushes. "Sure."
"Great! I'll meet you outside here at six, alright?"
"Cool! See you then."
And with that, Summer and I head back home, grab our wallets and get ready for some serious California girl shopping.
