I miss you

When I met you I was scared
A little shy at first.
I guess because I didn't know you
And you were from nowhere around.
You live across and ocean
In a town I didn't know existed.
But the moment I met you
My life was changed,
Not just for that minute
But forever.

When I met you
You two met me with a smile
And we instantly clicked.
The connection between us
Isn't like that of any other.
We never stumbled during conversation
And never sat in awkward silence.
We talked
About differences, and similarities.
About life here and there
And the things we never knew.
All I know is that because of you my life changed

When I met you
We spent a day together.
That day was the best,
The best day in years.
We laughed, talked, exchanged secrets
And had the time of our lives.
We never thought about anything
But the moment we were in.
The fun we had that day,
So long ago
Was amazing.
I have never felt
So connected to two people.
It was like we were one.
I never wanted that day to end
But as days do
It did
All I know is that
As we hugged each other goodbye
That day has changed my life
In the best way possible.

When I met you
I never thought
That over a year later I would
Cry myself to sleep,
Thinking of the time we had
And imagining you are here with me.
I imagine so much that you appear in my dreams.
The when I wake up you aren't here.
I miss you more than you know.
We exchanged packages
And I wrote letters,
Which have gotten lost and you never received .
When I get one of your amazing packages of chocolate,
All I can think of is how much I miss you. 
I wish you could be here,
To experience things with me,
And to live and learn together.
When we had that day together
My life changed
Because of you

When I met you
We were strangers.
Now when I think of seeing each other again
Makes me so happy I start to cry.
The thought of running,
Across the floor to jump,
Into arms of joy.
Some days all I want to do
Is give a hug to you
And never let go.
You two mean the world to me
And I will never
