We stood there in silence, my head was down. Neither me nor Abraham moved. All you could hear was my heavy breathing.

"She was killed, Abe. By a demon." I whispered, and I could tell without even looking up that Abraham had tensed up.

"I tried to to stop it. I was too weak and it killed our baby. The thing took my wings too. Fortunately a reaper, as surprising as it sounds, helps me. He's a very kind, though odd, man. I'll have to introduce you to him."

Silence fell back over us until my companion spoke up

"That's why your so attached to that human. The truth is I was here to make sure you weren't becoming a problem, but I can tell you're just a pathetic shell." Abraham exhaled and ran a hand through his dark hair.

"Find your own way out." With that he dissapeared.

I let a grin slip on my lips as a laughed almost manically, "I'll show you pathetic you gullible piece of shit."
