A/n: It's been decided: Kakeru YAMAGATA!! So enjoy and by the way, the of the chapter will be my own however it will still have some similar connection to the actual. So yeah let's start!!

----

I have been discharged from the commercial job I longed for. Kakeru that man I meet at the open bar of the CEO welcome party after failing my makeover revenge scheme has been the silver lining of an otherwise miserable party. I wonder how the rest of that night went. I should have drunk water.

"You have two legs! Can't you walk? You don't have to leave just because you're drunk! Am I too loud? What? Are you embarrassed NOW?"

"Kakeru," Who is that guy? More to the point, why do I have butterflies when he listened to my replaying his smile in my head over and over. Why? Because he was listening to my complaining? No, it's just that. I just sat there thinking about him. "No, I can't! I have to get back!

Trying to keep steady on my feet, I return to the party. It seems like the new CEO's ceremony has just ended. People are making groups and talking amongst themselves. I spot Momoka in one of the groups.

"The most beautiful scenery can be seen in life's detours. This is not the mindset a creative person should have. There is no value in the beauty that steals you away from your life, so let's work with this in mind, or something like that. It's was a very rational speech. That's about it." Wow so glad I wasn't there. Now no one going to like him because of his speech about beauty. If I was there I would have spoken my mind to him.

"I think that's my least favourite perspective though," I had accidentally said something that betrayed the fact that I was bitter. Is there any merit to straying from the beaten path? I think people have to answer that for themselves. I can't decide on my own principle that it's meaningless. "Your right. It's better than I was gone. I might have made a scene otherwise."

"Why? What's wrong Yuki?" Momoka worry in her eyes are making me think back it this really what I want. Or just don't have anything to say. "You're a lot more blunt than usual. Have you been drinking?" Crap!! She found out. Not that it's hard to tell though.

"A little." Please, no more questions!

"A little? Looks like more than a little to me. You're really free with your words and your colour shows it all. If you're feeling rough, let's go home. I'll walk you home. There are so many people here, you can slip out unnoticed."

"Wow, do look that drunk?"

"No, tired." To be in true, there was a lot of things going on today and I have the right to be tired.
"Now that you mention it. Maybe it's this stupid makeover stressing me out."
"No, you can't say that you makeover looks amazing."
"Thanks, but this isn't me. I think I stick to being myself. You know, the regular old Yuki Akabane."
"Yuki-"

I give her a big (forced) smile as I said it. Her face showed expression that showed that she knew I was being serious. I know she wanted to say something but she decided to nod instead.

****

Then I left the party. I still wore my makeup but I took off my contacts and put on my glasses. I was on my way to the station, a warm breeze blows over and I feel refreshed.

"Hinata? Hinata Hayama?!" I stopped in my tracks and looked back. Before I could remember whose voice it was a limousine pulls up next to me. My jaw drops.

Wha... What?!

They just stopped in the middle of the road but more than that, I'm surprised at who's riding in it."Ka-Kakeru?"
"Ha, even as a drunk as you are remembering a person's face is a skill you haven't lost yet."
"There is no way I could forget! Not after all that trouble, I caused you."
"If that'is true then you should have answered me! I called you 1,000 times and you ignored me.

That's because I gave you the wrong name. No, I can't say that.

"Sorry, I was totally out of it. You're done with the party already?"
"You look done."
"Oh um... I'm not feeling well so I left."
"I have an aversion to crowds, so I get you."
"Is that okay? Won't people talk?"
"Hey, I fulfilled my obligations. There was no point of staying there."

So?

"I don't get it. That line of thinking is just like our CEO's."
"I can't say you're mistaken."
"I mean, that's just hearsay but." I crack a smile and he breaks eye contact, stroking his chin like he's in deep thought. Panicking at the awkward silence, I open my mouth. "Well, then I guess I'll-."
"Get in."
"Excuse me?"
"I'll drop you off. Get in."
