Hello readers! Today we have a special interview with one of our two main protagonists - Ida! In this chapter, you will be able to find out a little more about her and the kind of person she is.
"Hello, to all, who are reading this right now; my name is Ida-Florence Blackwood. I have a jointed first name because my parents couldn't decide on calling me either Ida or Florence."
Hey Ida! Tell us about your age and birthday.
"I am seventeen years of age. My birthday is on the 15th of December, making me a Sagittarius!"
That's cool; I'm a Libra. Now, give us a general rundown on your identity.
"I am a female, and I am demi-sexual; which pretty much means that I need to have a certain special connection with someone to be able to have anything romantic. I am also an atheist."
Interesting. Tell us about your roots.
"My hometown is an old-fashioned English town named Winchester. However, I currently live in the boring town of Canterbury; which is not very far from London."
So does that mean you are British?
"I am indeed British, and most of my family originates in England. However, I do have portions of Russian blood flowing through my veins. I am 168cm tall, making me approximately 5'6."
Russian sounds very unique. Do you have any scars or birthmarks on your body?
"Now you mention it; I actually have quite a few! I have a burn scar on my upper left arm from when my mum accidentally burned me with a kitchen pot when I was really young; about a year or so old. I also have a birthmark on the back of my neck in the shape of a small bird."
That sounds like it must have hurt. Now, tell us your honest opinion on your positive traits.
"W-Well... I guess I am pretty down to earth and sensible. I am 'somewhat' athletic, quirky in my own weird way and strong-minded – occasionally making me stubborn as anything. I also see myself as an observant and trustworthy individual."
Now Ida, what do you think your negative traits are?
"I have to admit, that I do let my emotions get the better of me. I also have major trust issues, and hate to take risks or face challenges. I also tend to be impulsive, and sometimes act before thinking in a stressful situation. I also have bad social anxiety, and I tend to be pretty paranoid; overthinking practically everything."
Aside from the image attached, the readers do not know what you look like; why don't you tell them?
"I have chest-length ash-brown hair and big, vibrant, green eyes paired with long, dark eyelashes. I am pretty pale, however have freckles on my face, knees and stomach. I also have my earlobes pierced in both of my ears, and have a helix piercing in my right ear. I do tend to feel low-key insecure about my appearance most of the time."
That's a pity, I think you're beautiful! Anyway, what kind of fashion do you wear?
"Haha... Thanks, dude. Pretty much every day I wear casual clothing such as hoodies, loose-fitting shirts, sneakers, jeans, and scarves. However, I have been told to wear formal attire more often, since I apparently look decent in it?"
I guess fancy clothes aren't for everyone. Give us a list of things you like.
"I like things such as animals, chocolate, food in general, symphonic music, thunderstorms, poetry, literature, art, snow-covered forests and oceans on a warm summers day."
That's a wide variety! What are things you dislike?
"I dislike human interaction, significant change, when people yell too much, waiting in queues, crowds, politics and young children."
Alright then, who is in your family?
"My immediate family consists of my mother (Amara Blackwood), my father (Everette Blackwood), and my older brother (Alexander Blackwood). Alex currently doesn't live with us, as he is five years older than me and studying in university."
Let's hope we come across your brother somewhere in the story! What about your friends?
"I don't have a large number of friends; however, I love them both to bits. Their names are Sarabelle Lin and Archer Valentine."
That's sweet. Now for some more personal questions! What are your biggest temptations?
"Hmmm... My biggest temptations are probably my family and my loved ones; I would sacrifice anything for them to be safe."
That's pretty noble of you to say something like that. What is your perception on life?
"I would like to think I'm a realist; however, I tend to be a bit of a pessimist at times."
I think we can all be like that. What is your biggest fear?
"My biggest fear is to lose the people I care for. I also hate to be in the centre of attention."
Understandable. What is your dream?
"Well, I currently don't know to be honest. That being said, it probably is to find a purpose in my life; right now I have no idea where my life is going."
Thanks for answering those questions Ida! We will probably have a chat with you later on in the story!
"No problem. Looking forward to it!"
I wonder if any of Ida's answers will change by the end of the book...? Next time, we will be interviewing Maxwell Anderson, our other, more mysterious, protagonist. Enjoy the next chapter!
