I was fascinated with the novel "Bloody Crayons" the reason why after I read it, I got excited to its Movie adaptation.

I watched the movie on its first day of showing (July 12, 2017 which is today)  with my classmates, those that are close to me and I consider as friends but I don't know if they do the same way. Haha

Anyway, I would like to share how I've seen the quality of the movie. It is be my first time to do this but I will try my best to be fair.

This is my review...

Movie and Novel
There are huge differences between the book and the movie. I can't say that the whole plot is still the same. Many parts were subracted and added but I'll assure you that the essence, idea and concept of the story were preserved.
Some characters were removed. They are 14 at the novel while they are  only 9 at the movie. There are also changes in some personalities of the characters.

Movie
The title is very relevant. The "Bloody Crayons" which is the game played by the  characters in the movie did a crucial part in the plot, you'll understand what I'm trying to say when you watch the film.

The setting is captivating. The location and time are quiet suited because it gives impact to the genre of the film.

The movie also offers various mood. It is lucid tha it is a suspense-thriller movie and it is supposed to make you shock but it also made me laugh and cry. It is humorous and dramatic, I swear ! that's why I really enjoyed it a lot.

I really have to commend the cinematography. I never expected that the motion, angling, lightning and effects will be that great (knowing filipino production). It seems that everything is properly organized and positioned.

Overall the film has a satisfying caliber, from the start to the end it kept the viewers engaged.

Actors
All characters stand out especially because the roles they have to portray are distinctive. Everyone has the motive that could drive them to kill. Everyone has a secret to be revealed. Everybody has a story to tell.  The actors and actresses met the level of excellence in terms of putting life to their parts but I really have to give emphasis to the 3 girls which are Janella Salvador, Maris Racal and Jane Oineza. While watching the movie I was very attached to each of them because they were the characters that cause so much emotions. They improved a lot in their craft. There are really certain roles that fit them especially to Jane and Maris. And I must say that Janella's eyes captures my heart all the time. For me, she was the one carried the heaviest expression among everyone.

In general, the cast are well chosen. They are all felicitous to be in that film. Based on the performance that they flaunted, they truly have a place in the industry.

Director
A round of applause for Direk Topel Lee. He did a great job in sending confusion and curiosity to the audience. He was able to create twists in the movie that are interesting and unpredictable.

To summarize everything "Bloody Crayons" is my first favorite Filipino suspense-thriller movie not just because it is high quality but because it imparts  the most significant lesson... "Trust is the core of Frienship"

P.S. Some may say that my review is very positive because YES it is. I really appreciate the movie, actually I love it. I can't see anything wrong except to the fact that some scenes are not logical.

I would love to include all my feedbacks however it would lead to spoiling, I don't wanna spoil it. The mystery of the story is well constructed, and it's very disrespectful to leak it.

I recommend you to watch the film before someone tells you who the killer is.
