I walk down the hall to my locker and pull out my books and back pack. I just got back from English, my last hour. I haven't seen Matt yet but if he's still the same person that bullied me all through out elementary and middle school, then he's probably skipping school. Especially since its the first day. I lock up my locker and walk out the school. And the first thing that I see...is Matt! Half way in the driver's seat of a nice, black 2017 Toyota Corolla. How did he get that?! I stop starring and start walking to my house. But not even twenty steps out the school doors and he stops me in my tracks. "HEY, SHORTCAKE," Matt shouts, smiling at me. Ugh. I guess losing weight didn't get me out of that nickname. I sigh and walk over to Matt. He grins. Then he frowns. "Your not the shortcake that I saw when I left," he says. "Yeah, I'm not. So maybe you can leave me alone now. Bye" I turn around and I don't even get the chance to really walk before he grabs me and pulls me into a big hug. It actually feels nice. But I have to remember that this is Matt that we are talking about. Nothing about Matt is nice. I sigh and he lets me go. I cross my arms and lean on the car. "I missed you, shortcake" I look at him and smirk. "Yeah. You missed bullying me," I say, irritated. "That's really how you saw it?" He shakes his head and sighs. "Get in the car," he says and starts the car. I look at him baffled. "As if I'm gonna let you drive me to who knows where!" He laughs and slides his hand through his silky black hair. Then puts his hand in his usual leather jacket pockets. "I'm just taking you home," he chuckles. I glare at him. "I'm not going anywhere with you," I say. And start to walk off. "Okay, okay, that's fine," he says backing off. He actually wasn't being that rude. No pranks. Even offered me a ride home....maybe he has changed. I smile and before I know it, I'm home. Finally. I walk in and lay down on my bed. Soon falling asleep.
