It can't be.

My eyes scan over the baby blue letter about 5 times in shock. The black cursive writing is very clear to both me and my sister.

"B-but it can't be" Tabby whispers beside me.

I shake my head sliding down the wall to the wooden floor and squeeze my eyes shut. I place my hands behind my neck squeezing at my papery skin.

"No" Tabby whispers "they must have made a mistake. W-we can go down to the pack house and tell them..." her voice was in a panic.
"Tabby" I snap "hand me the letter again."

I hear a sound from the back of her throat before I feel the smooth baby blue letter back in my palm. I open my eyes again beginning to read the cursive black letters as if it were my first time receiving the letter.

You have been chosen!

Congratulations on your high honor of being chosen to compete in this years games! You will be escorted to my home tomorrow morning at 7 a.m!
