Loss Of Words

I was sitting at lunch, once again by my self. I was writing in my songbook when someone say across from me. I looked up. I looked at the boy that sat in front of me. He sort of looked like my childhood friend calum. I smile at him then continue writing. "Kadence Simms are you not going to say hi to me" he says and pouts.

I look up from my note book and see him. "Hi calum" I smile. He frowns. "Are you not happy that I'm back"

Yes, I'm very excited for you to be back. I thought.

"Of course I am" I say and move so I'm standing next to him and he hugs me tightly. "I missed you Kadence." He says as he looks down at me and I look up at him. "I missed you too calum" I smile and kiss his cheek which causes him to blush. He then pulls away from the hug.

The final bell rings and I smile as calum and I walk out of the school doors. "You wanna come to my house and watch a movie maybe catch up" he asked and looked down at me. The nervousness, I could see it in his eyes. His voice slightly cracking as he says the word catch and he blushes in embarrassment. "I would love to" I say and smile.
