Chapter Three: The Ballad of Lastation: Part Two - "New Kid on the Block"

A/N: Yes, I know. It's been a day since I uploaded something! Don't judge me, b-baka!! Also, I know that probably nobody is going to read this, So if you ARE reading this, Leave a comment down saying... "Nep Jr." or something. Also, How do you guys like having a kind of "Lovers Triangle" type thing? Anyways, ONTO THE STORY!!!

Azur/Black Luck POV

You and Uni arrived at the Ball somewhat later than most. Noire was especially upset at you, as you were supposed to be the one to keep track and get there on time. Regardless, Noire just sighed and stopped holding you up any more. Before you both enter the main room, you Turned to Uni and Ushered her Three words.

You: "Are you ready?" She responded with her own Three: "Yes." Uni took a deep breath. "I am."

With that said and done, you entered the main room for the ball. What you saw was breathtaking. So many people from all walks of life; Planeptune, Lowee, Leanbox and, of course, Lastation. You counted a Hundred people that you could see immediately. Uni took you over to one of the Tables as this was her first time going to a large social gathering such as this. At the Table, you saw Three other girls. The girl to your right with a Violet-colored short hair introduced herself as Neptune, The CPU of Planeptune. Neptune then introduced you to the Other two CPU's: The Shortest of the Three, with brown hair and a Silver dress was Blanc, CPU of Lowee and the Tallest with a Green dress and Blonde Hair was Vert, CPU of Leanbox. As they saw you had arrived with Uni, They didn't bother to Introduce you to Noire. Blanc and Neptune were lightly teasing Uni about her date to the ball. Every time they brought it up, she would blush a Deep red color.

Neptune: "So, Noire Jr., Is that your boyfriend~?" Uni Blushed and replied: "W-what!? N-no! Nothing of the sort! I-I just.. I.." Neptune laughed a bit and continued her teasing streak. "Hey, Maybe I should introduce him to Nep Jr! She's around here somewhere... I'm sure he'd love to meet her. Maybe they'll even hit it off!" Uni Blushed again. "S-stop that! I-I-I mean it! He's supposed to be MY d-d-date here. If it were up to me, I wouldn't have even come! I-I.. I..." Her voice trails off, blushing again. You thought it was cute how she couldn't admit her feelings... but you also wanted to see how long this would go on for, so you let it play out for a while until you were both alone on the buildings second story balcony. You gave her a smile and tried to spark up a conversation.

"So, uh.. I'm assuming that you and Neptune are.. friends?" You said. "Well.." Uni sighed. "Kind of. I'm more friends with her Younger sister: Nepgear." She said. "Ah. That must be the "Nep Jr." Neptune was referring to." You said. "Yeah. She's cool.. I guess." Uni said. "She spends most of her time building things out of whatever spare parts she can find." "Does she ever complete these... Projects?" You asked. Uni was about to respond, but suddenly, A new voice interjected. One you hadn't heard before. "U-um.. well, If by complete, you mean they blow up in my face, then I suppose I complete them." You both turned around to see a girl with long Pink hair in a White dress with Purple accents and Amethyst eyes that contrasted nicely with the whole ensemble. She standing a modest distance away from you both. You dare not say it to Uni, but you thought that this new girl was... Interesting to say the least. You stared at her for a bit, unsure what to say to break the silence. Looking at her, though, you noticed that she looked.. cute. At that moment, you felt something Uni meekly said: "O-oh! H-h-hi, Nepgear. U-uh..." Uni was blushing again, inching somewhat closer to you every now and then. Only then did you realize Uni was still holding your hand from the moment you walked in. Nepgear asked: "I.. uh.. I'm sorry. Am I... Interrupting something?" "Oh, no no, Not at all. In fact, we were just talking about you." You said. Nepgear sighed with relief and asked: "I-is this your.. uh... you know..?" *Why was she acting so shy around you?* You thought. *You two had only just met, right?* Uni replied: "U-um.. I-I.. uh.. I-" You interjected, sparing Uni the expense of answering: "Oh, No. Not officially. We are here together, though. I'm Azur."  You said, extending your left hand out. Nepgear shook it, and joined in on you and Uni's conversation shortly thereafter, becoming somewhat of a Third Wheel, so to speak. She was more or less inquiring about you. Not like you minded having two cute girls on either side of you. The three of you spent the rest of the evening like that, Just talking on the balcony, Uni holding your left arm.

And you felt genuinely happy.

Nepgear POV

You were walking around the ball trying to get a drink for you and Neptune. Neither of you had Dates there, so you kind of just hung out with the other CPU's and Candidates... Candidates being Rom and Ram. Uni was nowhere to be found so you eventually went looking for her. You thought she'd be a No-show... that was until you saw Uni in a black cocktail dress with a white bow and black lace.. with a boy in a White Blazer with Light Blue Accents and a Western Bow-tie. He looked about Sixteen to you, had Silver hair combed to the right and he had gorgeous Sapphire Eyes to top it off. His looks alone made your heart skip a beat.

He was really handsome.

You caught yourself staring at him and ducked behind a wall before they caught you. Your breathing was.. sharp and your eyes closed. You opened them to find Neptune looking at you with a smug grin. "You like him, don't you?" She said. "W-what!? Don't be ridiculous! I-I don't even know his name yet!" You said, shyly, hoping that He wouldn't overhear the conversation. "And keep your voice down! I don't want him to hear!" Neptune responded, "Ooo~! Secrecy! I knew it! You DO like him!" She laughed. "Well, Knock 'em dead, Nep Jr!"

With that she pushed you out from your hiding spot. *Dammit, Neptune.* you thought. The two hadn't noticed you yet. "Does she ever complete these... Projects?" The boy asked. Uni was about to respond, but suddenly, You took a deep breath and placed yourself into their conversation. "U-um.. well, If by complete, you mean they blow up in my face, then I suppose I complete them."

After you had Interjected, the conversation spiraled a bit from there, and eventually you found yourself next to the boy, whom you found out his name was Azur. You were on his right, Uni on his left, holding his arm tightly. Uni didn't know it, but when she went to get drinks for the three of you, You had asked for his number and asked to hang out sometime. He gladly accepted, and you two went back to just talking. Uni came back later on with three drinks. One for each of you. It dawned on you at some point that it was actually time to head home. You were so caught up in the conversation, you weren't checking the time. You eventually said your goodbyes and left with Neptune back to the Planeptune Basilicom.

You didn't realize it, that night... But you had fallen in love... and the one you had fallen for was the one who Uni had fallen for as well... You fell for Azur.
