Marinette has gained some of her confidence back but she is still jumpy at school, even though Chloe was expelled due to the physical harm she put on the bluette.
Now at school Marinette is eating lunch on a bench in the courtyard, looking around as she takes a bite. As she starts to relax a ball comes hurdling towards her face. She's frozen in fear and can't move, the ball almost hits her but a foot comes straight in front of her head and kicks the ball sending it flying far away from them. Kim, the school's over athletic boy comes running to them.
"Oh my God! Marinette I didn't meant to kick this way!!!" She stood up and hid behind Adrien who obviously was the one who kicked the ball away. She looked like a toddler standing behind him. "It's ok...I'm just jumpy." "No I freaking kicked a ball at you!" She giggled and waved her hand at him while taking Adrien's hand and pulling him to sit down. "really it's okay, Kim." he looked at her unsure but relented. "Okay, I believe you. See ya in class dudes". There was a silence before Marinette looks up at him with a face of a skittish kitten, "Thank you." He looks at her surprised then he laughs. No he's not laughing at her. "I love you!" He says in between laughter.
She has a surprised look then looks down. "This could ruin our friendship y'know?" He stops laughing and scoots closer to her. "Yeah, I guess it could." Was his last words before pulling her into a kiss, pouring all his love into it. She was severely surprised at first but she then kissed him back. After a few seconds he pulled away and grins his kitty cat grin. "I think we will be ok."
