He opened the door to find her standing there, crying. He also wondered why she was in the bathroom for a long time. Her face was filled with tears, she couldn't stop crying. He looked worried. "Jen, what's the matter?" His voice was calm and quiet.
She wiped her tears and she paced while brushing her hair back with her fingers in frustration. "I'm pregnant."
He frozen, filled with shock. Who could've made her become pregnant? Whoever it was, is going to get it! "Jen, how did it happen?"
She glared at her friend. His blue eyes looked so worried yet so caring. She stood there, remembering the event that had happened. "After John and I played seven minutes in heaven, we had sex."
Ben rubbed the back of his head, still shocked by his best friend. "He'll be surprised."
"I'm just scared. What if John leaves me?" Her tone sounds so desperate for help and yet so afraid of everyone turning their back on her.
Ben placed a gentle hand on her shoulder and he gave her a smile. "Nobody is going to leave your side."
She stared into his blue orbs. She didn't find any sign of him lying. "You're right."
He smiled and he gave her a hug. "Don't be afraid. We are here for you."
"But how am I going to tell John?"
"Well tell him when you two are alone."
Jen leaned against the wall as if it would stable her more than her feelings. "But I want you there. It will help me feel a while lot better."
Ben gave her a smile. "Okay. Why don't you go tell him now." Ben opened the bathroom door.
She nodded her head and she left the bathroom with Ben behind her.
She sat on the couch next to John. "What took you guys so long?" He asked in a firm tone.
"Jen has to explain herself." Ben sat next to Jen.
The blonde took deep breaths to keep her pounding heart calm. She could picture what the conversation between them would be like. He's going to yell at her and throw things. It brought tears to her eyes. "Well I'm pregnant."
"What the hell?!" He nearly shouted. His face full of shock. "How? No, no, no, no! I fucked up!"
"John, calm down," Ben said.
John stood to his feet and he stood in front of Ben. "How can I calm down?" He then began to pace.
Jen was feeling uneasy about how the way John is acting. She thinks that John doesn't want anything to do with their child. "I need to go." She rose from the couch and she headed upstairs into her room.
"You really upset Jen. It was bad enough that she was crying when she found out she's pregnant."
John let out a sigh. "Maybe I should talk to her."
Ben's phone went off. He pulled his phone out of his pocket. It was a text from Jen.
I need to talk to you. Leave John out of this!
"Actually I'm going to go talk to her," Ben then left the living room and he walked in Jen's room.
Jen was laying down on her bed, looking up at the ceiling. "I'm so getting a abortion."
"Jen, I wouldn't."
Jen sat up quickly. "Ben, did you see how he acted? He doesn't want this baby nor do I!"
"Talk to John about it first."
She let out a sigh. She knows he's right. "Okay fine. Go get him."
He left the room while Jen was wiping her tears.
John came in and he sat on the bed and he looked at Jen. "What did you want to tell me?"
"Do you want this baby?" She looked him in the eyes to make sure that there's no hint of lying.
"Of course I do!" He wrapped his arm around her.
"No, you don't. I could tell by the way you acted." She replayed the event that happened earlier in the living room. "I really don't want this kid."
"Keep the kid. I want us to be a family." He placed a kiss on her cheek. Jen isn't sure if he's playing an act or is he really serious about this.
"Yeah what about your mother? Would she like it there's a baby living here? Well I don't think so."
"She wouldn't mind. I love you Jen. So please let us be parents."
Jen shook her head. "No, I'm not ready for this. I'm going to give this baby up for adoption or have a abortion."
"No you can't!" There was a little pain in his tone.
"John, it's my body. I do what I want. You can't stop me!"
He sighed. "Alright fine."
"Thank you."
"I'd hate to see this kid go." He looked somehow sad.
"I know, but we're too young for this and we have to finish high school. We don't have time for a child. I'm sorry it has to be this way."
John placed his face in his hands. "It's my fault that you're pregnant."
Jen placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's both our fault. We were stupid."
John rose from the bed. "I need some time to think." He left her room.
Jen stood up and she paced in her room. She looked up at her band posters on the walls and cut out band members out of a magazine.
She then opened her Jewelry box. She doesn't know why she did but something told her she should.
There was a folded up piece of paper lying on top. She picked it up and she unfolded it.
There was writing on it. She read it. John is just a whore, who sleeps with all the girls in school. He gets them pregnant on purpose. If I were you, I'd stay away from him. He's bad news, Jen.
Jen remembers that day when Hilary wrote this when they were in study hall. Jen had kept this note to remind her to stay away from him and not be with him. This is the other reason why she doesn't want this baby.
If he's a whore then he's going to end up leaving her anyway. She sat on her bed, crying.
Ben knocked on the door and he walked in. "Is everything okay?"
She didn't sat a word, instead she handed him the note. He took it and he brought it to his face and he read it. "I knew that about him."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"The reason I didn't tell you is I wanted you to figure it out and I wanted you to see how fake he's being and plus I knew one of your friends would tell you."
"Ben, I don't know what to do."
"If you don't leave John now, it will be hard for you if he leaves you."
"Okay. I will do that."
He gave her a smile. "I should get going. I do have homework to work on."
"Okay, later."
Ben left the room.
