There are some things that come with being a woman.
I'm not talking about your breasts or your lips
Yes, those come with being a woman
But so do the insults
The judgement
The weight that is placed on your shoulders
And I'm not talking about the wait that you find yourself lost in
When you go through weeks
Trying to snag a job interview so that you can support yourselfI'm not talking about the wait that you think is ending
when your phone rings, with what you believe is opportunity calling
But is really just an old friend asking how your new job is goingIt's going great
Is what you tell them because you want to know what else comes with being a woman?
Having to meet standards
And expectationsBut the second that your standards are different from society's
You are ostracized
You are wrongAnd you are left to fend for yourself in a world that is led by a pack of wolves, and not women.
