Jungkook
I didn't want to admit it, but I did yearn for some help. I haven't given a clue about the minority of my issue yet, but Chaeyoung already had herself offering me guidance and assistance.. like the good friend that she has always been. I wasn't planning on staying tight lipped for so long, so I finally decided to reveal what I needed.
Of course, she has often seen through me, but I didn't expect her to immediately find out about my current situation as if I was displayed as an open book.
She knew how much I've feared these terrifying creatures called girls. She knew that tons of them would want to ask me for the upcoming prom, but that I only had one in mind.
"Step number one," I was quite surprised when she started without any objective nor hesitation, "Don't. You dare. Stutter." She suddenly leaned her bright face closer to mine, her dark pupils shooting a perfect glare.
I rubbed the back of my neck as I self consciously looked into another direction stuttering, " Uh, Ch-chaeyoung."
She sighed, obviously aware of how I was scared of her as well.
I couldn't blame her, even I was dissappointed at how much of a wuss I am.
Frustrated with my stupid weakness, I stamped my feet feeling defeated. This is our last year and last prom.. What if another guy gets her instead? Not that I was desperate.. I just.. didn't know it either.
"Jungkook," With Chaeyoung's honey enveloped voice, she called. "This is just the start, you know." She smiled.
I sighed, "It's no use."
She hit me playfully in the arm, "Yah, stop being stubborn. You're the one hindering the possibility."
"No, I give-"
"Oop!" She pressed a slender finger on my lips, and I couldn't help but back away, "It's not your choice, I can get you through this."
"Chae.." I sighed, feeling another defeat.
"No 'uh', 'eh', 'um', and absolutely no looking away!"
...
"Step number two: promposal scheme"
Told to confess my situation to my group of friends, they instantly –easingly– allowed themselves to be of any help.
And of course, with the so called "genius" Namjoon, I guess we'd be able to succeed with a simple plan to help me ask her to prom.
...
"Step number three: flowers"
"You see, we girls just love flowers." Chaeyoung informed me, enthusiastically clasping her hands as she smiled, admiring the beauty and serenity of the flowers in the flower shop. "She, as well, loves flowers."
I nodded understanding what she meant, "Yeah, definitely."
While I smelled and observed a variety of different flowers, Chaeyoung stayed on one place spotting one boquet that probably took her attention.
Unable to pick a set of flowers that stood out to me, I decided to go back to Chaeyoung who still had her attention on the boquet of roses of different shades of red, fading from dark red, to baby pink—her favorite pink.
"You like that?" She got startled hearing me beside her.
"Wh-what?" She said seemingly clearing herself from being dazed.
"I mean," I chuckled, "You've been staring at that for the past ten minutes."
"Oh, this one." She chuckled, "Yeah, it's very lovely. If someone would give me flowers, I'd like this one."
