"Thank you," replied Celine, feeling her cheeks flush, hoping Jasper wouldn't see. "What school do you go to?" asked Jasper. "I go to Lavinia High, I'm in the 10th Grade." she replied, twirling her hair with her finger. "Really? No joke? I am starting there today. What the heck. Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaky." he replied, saying "freaky" in a silly voice, making Celine laugh. "You have a glorious laugh Celine. I shall make note to make you laugh more often. Can you sell CD's of laughter? You should sell CD's of your own laughter, and I would totally buy one and play it on repeat. SERIOUSLY, your laugh is great." continued Jasper, making Celine laugh even harder, and blush a lil' more once again. "Well thank you," she said, "I shall contact you once I have got a contract to release an album of me laughing to various things, and I'm expecting you buy at LEAST 5 copies." she continued. To this, Jasper chuckled, and it was in that moment that Celine realised just how attractive Jasper was.
He had dark brown/almost black messy, wavy hair, and pale skin, with light freckles making small constellations on his cheeks, and dark green eyes that were so calm and inviting, that you could easily get lost in them. He had a lovely ski-sloped nose, and light pink lips. He was skinny, but quite toned, and had lovely, strong looking hands, with nails that had been bitten off, either by bad habit or from nervousness. He also had blue veins protruding from his arms, making a thin network on his skin. He was dressed in mostly dark colours, wearing black skinny jeans, a white t-shirt and a grey hoodie. He had black Converse on, and a silver watch.
Snappng back to reality, Celine realised that through all their laughter and jokes, they had just missed their train stop. "SHIT. We just missed our stop." she said aloud, whispering many quick shit shit shit shit's under her breath. "Oh well, isn't that inconvenient, I just missed my train stop by talking to a lovely girl with a good taste in books and humor, to find out she goes to my new school, and I have to catch yet another train with her! What a terrible way to start my new school career!" said Jasper sarcastically, grinning widely. "Yes, what a shame it is!" joked Celine back, getting off at the next train stop.
As they stood on the train platform, Celine took in the view. The tiled, mustard yellow walls were coated in a thick grime, and inbetween the cracks in the tiles was a mucky substance, build up from various hands over time. The ground was grey and had so many pieces of old chewing gum stuck on the floor. There was a stuffy, dirty smell present. "This place is gross." she said to noone in particular, her mouth in a small scowl. "I agree, let's just try to get the next train, I don't want to be too late for the first day of school." said Jasper, running a hand through his hair and then resting it in his hoodie pocket. He led in the search of the platform, with Celine closely following. When they reached their designated platform, and caught the correct train back to the school's train station, they started walking.
They both walked at a relatively quick pace, trying to get out of the cold winter's morning. As they walked, Celine couldn't help but wonder, why did Jasper start school so late? "Jasper," she asked, "why did you start school so late in the year?". She heard Jasper exhale sharply, and look down at his shoes. He looked deflated, as if someone had punched him in the stomach. "Uh... well." started Jasper, "There were a couple of things that made me want to move schools, but uh... the main reason, the main reason I left, i-is because my best friend killed himself." A heavy silence fell between them, and Celine felt terrible for asking. "I'm so sorry, it was selfish to have asked. Sorry, really." she apologised. "Hey, don't worry, it's not your fault." he replied with a small smile, perking up a little. "I still think about him, but moping won't help, and that's part of the reason I moved. And so far," he paused, looked at Celine "I think I'm doing pretty well."
