Slapped cheek - Lilo (NH)

I think there is something wrong with my little blonde as he's being incredibly quiet and is really pale.

However whenever I try to ask him he just denies everything. I guess after being a father for a certain amount of time you just have parental instincts when there's something wrong with your child.

My husband and eldest are away this weekend apparently having a bonding weekend, which is unfortunate as Liam is better figuring out when our children are lying than I am.

'Ni are you sure your okay?'

'Yes papa just tired.'

'Do you want a cuddle and we can watch a movie.'

'Yes please.'

I walked over and placed Lion King into the DVD player and then approached Niall.

'Move up then baby.'

He did as I said and then cuddled into my side. I wrapped my arm around him and it wasn't long until I heard soft snores coming from him.

This was a big give away that Niall wasn't feeling well as Niall doesn't snore. He only snores when his nose is blocked and his throat is sore.

I sigh and place my hand on his forehead and I can feel heat but nothing to bad.

Why would Niall not just tell me he feels ill, normally he tells me straight away as he wants attention.

I get up and head to the kitchen to get my phone when I glance at the calendar. In big writing, which is clearly Niall's, it says sleepover. That's why he's not telling me.

This will be Niall's first sleepover and he can't wait but I cant send him if he's unwell as he will get everyone else sick. Niall must know this so he is trying to hide it from me. 

I pick up my phone and call Liam hoping for some advice.

'Hi love.'

'Hey Li how's it going with Harry?'

'Great so far he seems to be really enjoying himself.'

'That's good anyway I have a bit of a problem.'

'Go on.'

'I think Niall's sick but he won't admit it to me as he's meant to be going on a sleepover tomorrow night. I don't know what to do Li.'

'Okay calm down. What makes you think he's sick?'

'He's really tired and pale and he's snoring which he only does when he has a blocked nose or a sore throat. He also feels a little warm.'

'Alright all you can do really Lou is just keep an eye on him. I'm sure if he feels bad enough he will tell you but if he doesn't confront him face on about it.'

'And what if he denies it still.'

'Tell him your taking his temperature that will tell you if he's sick or not and he will probably admit it then as he will know your about to find out.'

'Alright I'll try that tomorrow I'll give him till tomorrow morning to admit it to me and then I'm taking action.'

'Alright love I'll talk to you tomorrow let me know if Niall admits to be sick.'

'I will tell Harry I love him.'

'Tell Niall the same and I miss you'

'Miss you to bye Li.'

'Bye Lou.'

Like I said Liam was the best at this kind of thing.

When I put Niall to bed I gave him another chance to tell me if he felt poorly but again he just denied everything.
