Chapter 3: A Visit From Ekoda

(In Agasa's Mansion)

All of them were gathering in the living room chatting to each other. Meanwhile, Haibara and Ran in the kitchen were making tea for their guest today. Kaito happily talk with those children except Conan who rather staring at him with his unusual-child look kind of face and Sonoko has fun talk about the phantom thief who she admired, Kaitou Kid. Whenever Sonoko praised that moonlight phantom thief, Kaito eventually enjoying himself with those sugary words from her as it really for him. Suddenly, Conan interrupt their conversation.

Conan: Ne, Kaito-niichan? Why did you keep smilling like that?

Sonoko: You interrupting me, brat! (Staring at Conan angrily)

Conan: Gomen but I'm curious...

Kaito: Sa...don't be so mad Sonoko-san..it's not fun...Well, you see Conan-kun...I can tell you that I really admired Kaitou Kid and whenever Sonoko-san telling how great was he, it makes me feel thrill and I do enjoy every words that came out from her mouth...it's a pleasure to hear it...(grinning)

Conan: So, is it that all? (lifting one of his eyebrows)

Kaito: Hmm...I think that's all for now and one more thing, I do admire him since I'm a little boy like you, Conan-kun...(grinning wider)

Conan: Oh...I'm get it...anyway, it's not good to admire thief, Kaito-niichan...(smirking)

Kaito: Who told you that?

Conan: Well, Shinichi-niichan told me! (with his high-pitched voice)

Kaito: You know what Conan-kun, sometimes you can't judge a book by it's cover, ne? (smiling)

Conan: Absolutely I know that but you can't follow the bad one, ne?

Kaito: Sometimes we don't know what the other side was telling  and sometimes, it has to be done for the other's goodness especially for the love one...I think you really understand what I mean just now, am I right Conan-kun?

Conan: Emm...(nod and smiling)

Suddenly, Haibara and Ran walk with tray in their hands which filled with several cups of tea. They serve the tea and soon, sit with the others to join their talk.

Haibara: So, Edogawa-kun...how the progress? (sipping her tea)

Conan: I don't know yet, Haibara...if he is really Kaitou Kid, I think it safe as he already know my identity and it useless to keep as secret...but if not, I'm sure that we must be careful around him...moreover, we still don't know what his intention coming here...

Haibara: Well, it's up to you now to figure out everything...men-tan-tei-san...(continue sipping her tea)

Conan: Oi..Oi..(annoyed face)

They did enjoy talking with Kaito and get to know more about him as he told all his experience in his old school life especially about his childhood friend, Nakamori Aoko. They were shocked to hear at first that he did made Nakamori's daughter as his childhood friend and would like to meet her in the future. As the time went through, all of them has to go home immediately before dinner.
