The Girl that changed me

Chapter 7

My eyes opened with shock , it was 6:00 am , I still had loads of time to relax , but there was no way I was going back to sleep , so I got changed anyway.
I looked over to my right , Ellie's bed , I was used to having a rather weird shaped lump curled staring back at me but this time , I saw no one . Ellie wouldn't just leave . I was confused , her bed was still neatly made , the window was shut , and all of her belongings where left untouched! What an earth could of happened!  I was so worried...i..I know I'll search and leave no stone unturned not until I found my best friend !

I started with the bathroom . I remembered her going there in potions but never returning . I ran down the corridor and down the stairs , barely anyone was up . I ran and ran and ran , until I saw the giant oak doors . I swung them open , these were the second floor bathrooms so no one really used them unless they were desperate. The Thing I saw next was shocking ... Ellie , her arms spread across the floor ..frozen . I stood over her body and started to cry . Why ! Why did it have to be her ...my best friend ! I have no one to trust now ... anyone could of opened the chamber and now that my best friends gone ... I just don't know ... I carried Ellie's limp body across the hallways and up the stairs . No one was staring as it was still rather early. I was devastated and the only thought that had properly processed in my brain was that I should take her up to the Gryffindor common room . 

I placed her body on the sofa , she was still frozen still . I sat with her for a bit , then I lay there on the floor next to her  . I felt dreamy and tired . I fell asleep in my school cloak , that's the last thing I remember.
