This house looks like any other house on the University of Brighton's Campus, however when looking closer you come to notice it's entirely made of repurposed garbage.
This house was designed by BBMs director Duncan Baker-Brown along side students from the University. It's the first "Waste House" in the U.K. reports the Architects.
"One mans trash is another mans treasure"
Foundations are made from ground-granulated blast-furnace slag to support framework comprising salvaged plywood beams, columns and timber joists rescued from a nearby demolished house. The walls are made of used carpet tiles and are insulated with garbage.
The walls of the house are filled with...
20,000 toothbrushes...
4,000 DVD cases, 2,000 floppy discs and two tons of denim offcuts.
"This could be the future"
