Chapter One: "Cat Ears and Panda Socks,"

5 years earlier.... (Then the present)

I stood outside looking at my favorite and only flower, a white rose. The rest of the roses are red. But that's how I feel, Different from the rest.

I turned back around and went in side to grab my favorite sweater, North Shore Soccer. I stood out there waiting for the dumb bus as my brother sat in side and watched TV. I didn't even have my shoes on, though, I held them in my hand.

When I picked out my outfit I picked a faded purple dress, purple lace cat ears, and my black heart dress shoes which didn't match my panda socks, at all.  I looked down at my socks and wiggled my toes. My lucky socks. I glared at my brother when he gave me a weird look. What's his problem?

I saw a flash of yellow as the bus pulled up in the corner of my eye. "Let's go!" I yelled to my obnoxious brother. He gave me a worried look and dashed out the living room where I couldn't see him. I shrugged my shoulders slipping on my shoes, going to the bus.

"He's gonna be a little late again today Marie." I told the bus driver as I went to find my seat. As I sat down someone plopped in my seat. I looked up... He never talks to me...

"He's such a dummy, isn't he? Always late." Cole shook his head as I looked down and heat rose to my cheeks.

"Ha. Ha. Yeah...." I squeaked keeping my bright pink cheeks out of his view.

"I like your cat ears Liliabeth. I think they would look nice on me!" He snatched them from my head making my eyes shoot up and glare daggers at him. My cheeks became warmer as he smiled his dimpled smile.

"Don't I look nice Liliabeth?" He asked me as I groaned and tried to snatch it back, but since he was 2 years older than me it was hard.

"No y-you don't Cole! Gi-Give it back to me!" I shrieked glaring at him still.

"Aww Liliabeth, pink is a nice color on you!" He leaned close to my face as my heart beat fast.

"W-what are yo-" I felt his soft lips on my cheek as he plopped my cat ears back on my head.

"I like... Your socks Lilli..." He had a slight blush on his cheeks and smiled as he went back to my brothers seat. My brother finally got back and glared at me as my cheeks turned hot again. I HATE COLE FREAKING MATTHEWS!!!!

I touched my cheek and looked back down at my hands on my lap.

And that is how I fell in love with Cole Matthews.

*******

5 years has past since that moment and I'm now a Junior in High School. Yay!!! Not. Oh and you wanna know the best part? Auntie Marie is in town! I groaned and hit my head on my head board.

"Bethy?" My brothers voice echoed threw the whole house. "You got 30 minutes!"

"Why? Why can't I stay the fuck home!" I groaned snuggling further into my purple polka dotted comforter.

"Hey little bitch! No cussing under my fucking roof!!!!" My mom yelled. I stood up with all the strength I had left in me. I made my way into my mom and dads room.

"I'm coming in so put some pants on or a shirt okay? I felt the whole house shaking last night, what are you Vampires?" I croaked. "One, two, three." I busted the door open and my mom flew off my dad. I rolled my eyes. Pervs.

"Mommy? Do I have to go?" I gave her my best puppy dog look.

"Hell yeah you do! I am not dealing with your groaning ass all day!" She yelled shooing me out. "Go get dressed. Now!"

I groaned and turned to my dad. "Daddy?" I gave him another puppy dog look.

"Listen to your mother kid, trust me, she'll kill you." My dad got up and ruffled my hair going to the bathroom.

"Great! my snuggle time!" My mom groaned falling on the bed.

"I'll be back!" My father called from the bathroom. My mom let out a fangirl sqeul and I just chuckled. I wish to have a relationship like them someday... Madly in love at 100 and 101.

I walked back into my room and threw on an outfit which consisted of A big purple sweater, leggings, purple raccoon socks, and black dress shoes. I threw my hair up in a bun, not bothering to brush it and ran to my brothers pick up truck.

It was November, Close to winter and already freezing. I slammed the car door then found my paw mittens and purple cat ear muffs. "Its freaking freezing! How can you wear shorts and a T-shirt?"

"Its not cold..." He stated glaring at me. "Its okay out side."

Boys, so complicated! I rolled my eyes as his music started to play in the background. I hummed along to "Death Of A Bachelor" with a tiny smile on my face.

When we finally arrived I groaned hitting my head on the dashboard. "Why? Why do I have to be a girl?"

"Don't wanna hear it!" He jumped out his side of the car and made his way to his annoying group of friends. I looked that direction and saw Cole staring at me. When he saw I caught him he smiled and winked. I looked down and blushed as I made my way to my friends. *cough cough* only two *cough cough*.

"Malory! Jayyyy!" I ran up and hugged them both.

"Are favorite hippie!" They said in usion. Are group is weird. We have The Nerd, The Popular, The Pastel Emo, The Gay, and The Hippie, hashtag Meeee!!!!!

"Where is everyone?" I ask...

"Not here yet... Why is Cole looking at us again today?" Jay asked looking at him weirdly.

"Because (1) he's to gay to actually fucking talk to to me (2) I'm just way to sexy for him to look away." I turn around and smirk at Mr. Hottie. He rolls his eyes at me and continues talking to my brother.

"Your a dumbass..." Mal said...

"Aww fuck!" I fell against the brick wall and closed my eyes in pain and held my stomach.

"Yay! Period Lil!" You could hear the sarcasm in her voice.

"Shut up!" I said in agony.
