VIII Meeting the parents

Fernando's POV

I was finishing preparing dinner when my phone rang.

"¿Hola?"

"Fernando Jose Torres Sanz! When were you going to tell me you have a girlfriend? Why do your siblings know but not me? Who is she?"

"Hola madre. I'm fine, thanks."

"Don't get cocky with me mister. When am I meeting her?"

"I don't know. This is why I haven't told you!"

"What's wrong with her?"

"Nothing!"

"Does she have a job?"

"No. She's studying."

"Wonderful! What's her degree?"

"Uhm... highschool?"

"¿Qué?"

"Monica is still in highscool."

"Stop being funny. I want to meet her! Call me when you and I can have a seriuos conversation!" And she hung up. I stood there staring at my phone as if it was an alien, I didn't hear Sese coming in.

"Nando! What's wrong?"

"¿Qué?"

"Are you alright?"

"I'm not sure. My mom just called. She wants to meet Moni."

"¡Mierda! Do you want her to meet your parents?"

"Sí, but now is too soon. I don't want her to freak out."

"Good luck with that. You can ask her today after dinner."

"Yeah sure."

"At what time are the girls coming?"

"In about 20 minutes."

"So you have about 20 minutes to decide."

"Decide what?"

Sese and I jumped as we heard May speaking. "Where's Moni?"

"She will be here in a bit Romeo. Jesus Nando! You saw her yesterday."

"I know. It's not that. I didn't want her listening to what we were saying."

"About your decision?"

"Sí. My mom just called. She wants to meet Moni."

"Oh. She's going to freak out."

"Gracias."

"De nada. Do you realize that you are her first boyfriend? She has never been introduced to her in-laws."

"Gracias Mayra. I wasn't nervous enough before."

"¿Hola?" we heard Moni shouting.

"In the kitchen" yelled back Sese.

She then appeared in the kitchen. She came and gave me a kiss.

"Hola Moni."

"Hola Nando. Hola Sese."

"Hola princesa."

After the greetings we went to the dinning room to have dinner. It was a nice affair. Moni and Sese were fighting the whole time, as always. Mayra was acting like their mother, as always. But it was fine. When we finished, Sese took May home and Moni stayed with me.

"Are you tired?" I asked her

"A bit."

"Let's go to sleep then baby."
