I slowly opened my eyes to find chaos. He was staring at me from all sides. He destroyed the tram leaving it in a flaming mess with doors and windows ripped straight off of their hinges.Everything was silent but the ringing in my ears was sharp and constant. The seat belt was digging into my skin.I looked down to find the buckle imbedded in my side. Blood covered my body and was dripping down from my chest, forming a pool on the ground.
My eyes darted around the car, hoping to find everyone else but only to see Wren's bloody figure passed out on the floor of the tram. I croaked out her name but got nothing in response. I tried again but still nothing.
Where is everyone? Are they okay? Where am I? What just happened? I have to find them.
I knew I had to get out of the tram which meant taking out the buckle. I reached down to my side, my hands shaking in pain. Grasping the plastic end of the buckle, I slowly began to pull it out. I hit a nerve and stopped as I winced in pain. Finally the buckle came free, leaving a three inch deep wound. Blood began oozing out, flooding onto the seat. I clutched my side, trying to put as much pressure on it as I could.
Picking my head up, I looked around. Sun was shining in through the, now parallel to the ground, window. Branches penetrated through gaps in the torn up walls. In the middle of the tram the ceiling caved in to form a v. All the glass was smashed, shards littering the ground.
My legs shook in protest as I stood up. Clenching my fists, I bore through it and slowly limped my way out of the wreckage, onto the soft dirt. I took in the horrific scene around me. The tram lay at the bottom of a tall trench, crushed like tin foil. Trees were snapped in half and
I searched around through the underbrush for Damon, or anyone for that matter. I spotted movement out of the corner of my eye and jerked around to find Piper struggling to stand. I rushed over, checking to see if she was okay and helped her up onto her feet. We both looked at each other in the same sense of concern and distress.
"What... What happened?" She asked, just as befuddled as I was.
"My best guess, the tram ran off a cliff." Piper nodded slowly and observed me before catching sight of my bloody wound.
"We... where's everyone else?"
"I don't know. Wren is in the tram. I was looking for people when I found you."
"We gotta keep looking" She said with determination before straightening your shirt and unsuccessfully trying to wipe dirt off her face. She took a breath and we began our search.
As I searched East, according to the position of the sun, I heard Piper call out that she had found Autumn. I hurried over as Piper began checking her heart beat. She sighed in relief.
"Thank God, she's not dead."
I hear some rustling in the grass behind us and I turn around to find Damon helping Jason walk over to us.
"Hey guys," Damon said "ummm. Quick question, where are we exactly?"
"We're not really sure. We were actually kind of hoping you would know." Piper said.
"Wha- what happened?"
We all jumped in surprise as Autumn picked her head up and looked around.
"I'm pretty sure that the tram fell down that cliff," I say as I point towards the pile of metal that used to be the tram. Jason and Damon's mouths gaped open as they observed the wreckage.
Autumn slowly brought her knees under her and stood, wiping the dirt off her Prime school uniform.
"Are you okay?" Piper asked Autumn.
