The Fresh Start(INCOMPLETE)

First day

Everybody has always told me high school has some of the best years of your life. You learn the most lessons. But is that true? Hi my name is Elaina Mathews and here's my story. It was my first day of freshman year. I had just moved from Georgia to Tennessee. I needed a fresh start after...last year. Last year was the hardest year for me. I started off my 8th grade year being super popular. Then Devin came along. He was the bad boy. I was the good girl. Everybody wanted him, but surprisingly enough he wanted me. So we dated 3 months, then he decided to cheat on me. That made rumors whirl around everywhere. I went into depression and couldn't handle that town anymore. So this here, is my fresh start. I'm not going to tell anybody about my past, because that's exactly what it is. The past.
I walk into the school. Wow...every guy seems so attractive and every girl seems so nice... I start to think to myself where do I belong here? Are people going to like me? I guess I'll find out. I step into my home room. The second I step in I'm greeted with this boy with brown eyes. He smiles at me and says, "Hey you aren't from around here are you? I'm pretty sure I'd remember you." Oh my gosh he's so so hot...
I reply with "Um hi, yeah I'm new I just moved here from Georgia and don't really know anybody . My name is Elaina by the way ."
He smiles again ," Nice to meet you I'm Josh. Maybe I could show you around here or something. It's pretty boring so I'm sure everybody will be happy to see a new face."
This really made me smile. I reply ," Yeah I'd like that" and sit next to him as the bell rings.
Wow I've been at this school 5 minutes and I've already formed a slight crush. His brown eyes were just so dreamy, and he was so welcoming and sweet. And I have to let my guard down for someone or else I'll never get over what happened in Georgia. All during homeroom Josh keeps looking over at me. My heart starts racing. I can't focus at all. I've barely been in this town and there's already so much happening. Eventually the bell rings and he gets up and starts walking towards me. "Hey can I get your number?" He asks.
"Of course" I say pulling out my phone. Then we exchange numbers and I start walking to my class. I sit down in Science and sadly Josh isn't there. But I see a girl sitting kind of alone. There were people around her but she wasn't talking to anybody. I could either talk to her or the other girl in the corner... this decision may impact my whole high school life. I go up to the first girl I saw and I say, "Hey I'm new and I don't really know anybody but my name is Elaina." She smiles and says, "My name is Katie. And you came to the right person. I can tell you about our whole school if you want me to. Because everybody knows everybody. I can tell you all about the cliques everybody has."
"Actually I'd really appreciate that." I say.
"Ok well for starters there's the jocks. There's 3 of them and they're all super cool and super hot. There names are Josh, Spencer, and Daniel. Everybody loves them. Then there's the popular girls, Marissa, Tiffany, and Rebecca...but everyone calls her Becks. They start a ton of drama. And then there's the group of me and my friends which includes me, Kyleigh, Reagan, and Amanda. I think you'd fit in here pretty well. And that's about the 3 main groups I can think of to explain."
I start to think...is Josh the jock the same Josh that asked for my number? Everybody loves him but he wanted to talk to me? This is so exciting! "Wow that's a lot. Thanks so much. I probably will fit in right here with you guys if that's ok." I say
"Yeah totally I'd love for us all to hang out sometime you seem really chill ." She replies.
Then class starts and we quiet down. The first day is so boring we never do anything in our classes. The rest of the day rolls by pretty quickly and before I know it it's time to go home. I really hope Josh texts me... As soon as I get home I go straight into my room and lay down. My little sister, Janie isn't out of school yet so it's sort of quiet. Then I hear my phone does and a message pops up.
"Hey it's Josh ;)" it says
"Haha hey :) it was really cool to meet u" I replied. Then we got into this whole conversation really quickly. I learn a lot about him. He plays every sport there is at our school but his favorite is football. He's only had one girlfriend and her name was Alyssa. They only dated about 5 months and they're friends now. His best friends are Spencer and Daniel. After our conversation I find out not only is he hot, but he's really cool too. Maybe this fresh start in this new town is just what I needed ...
