**This is the first part of the Story where we look into the life of Haven an orphaned Blacksmith searching for his lost love hope you enjoy**
Haven was a simple but well known blacksmith from the small town of Angel Falls, he learned this trade from his father Grom Riddle. Haven’s real name was Christian Riddle but he hated that name for years, then his father changed it to Haven. Now, Haven was in love with a young innkeeper named Sofia. Sofia had long brown-blonde mix of hair and piercing green eyes. She was about 5' 2" with a light olive skin and a pair of silver dragon claw earrings with a small emerald clasped in the talons. Haven stood about 5’ 6” with sandy blond hair and lightly tanned skin, on his right shoulder was a scar from a fight with a bear. He thought Sofia would notice him more if he went and fought a bear, the mayor had to come and save him and he was lucky enough just to get away with both their lives. On his 17th birthday Sofia gave him a black scarf which he wrapped around his forearm so whenever he was working he could see it, then for his 18th she gave him a handmade heart necklace she made from some rose quartz. Because he worked in the forge he would make her special rings and bracelets out of metals and minerals. When he proposed to her, he put a pure silver with gold inlaid ring on her hand; in return she gave him an engraved silver ring which said: “through heavenly rain or hell’s fire I’ll love thee always”. A few days after his 22nd birthday a massive earthquake appeared just outside of town. In the confusion a band of rogues attacked the village and took Sofia hostage as well as stealing very valuable item in town. After the quake died down the townspeople went outside to inspect the damage. "Overall Angel Falls pulled through just fine." said the village elder. The most significant damage caused was to the church bell which fell off the steeple. "Where is Sofia? Wasn't she in the church during the quake?" asked Haven worriedly. He raced to the church, and soon as he pushed open the heavy oak doors he started yelling Sofia's name. Getting no response Haven started to search the rooms adjacent to the great hall.
Now would be a good time to give a little history about Angel falls and how it got that name. It all started when a celestial spirit or, guardian as they are known to most, came and aided the would be founder of the town when he clumsily entered a bear den. This man was a poor traveling merchant who enjoyed being near water and hearing the calming streams as they flow by. This was when that man made Angel Falls in honor of that spirit, he even got a friend of his to sculpt a statue depicting the guardian on a ledge overlooking the town. Now for Haven, he had no memory of anything before his 5th birthday, when he was found the mayor assumed he was around the same age as his own son who had just turned 3. When he was found he was floating on his back in the pond of tears, the cleric who ran the church said he may have fallen from the heavenly realm. The mayor held a small meeting inside the church to see who would take the young boy in and raise him. Finally, after everyone refusing Grom the grey haired blacksmith let out a heavy sigh and promised to look after him. Once Haven turned 10 Grom felt that it was time to tell the boy where he came from and why the two of them were different. At age 12 Haven was taught to be a blacksmith and how to turn a seemingly useless sword into a blade to be feared. Everyone in town called him: Heaven's Angel, but when he was a kid he could only say Haven and so Grom adopted the nickname. Grom passed away from a heart disease when Haven was 15, with his last breath he said: “I’m leaving everything to you my son, take this key and unlock the safe in the basement, finish what I started.” The ceremonial burial was held the next day and on the gravestone Haven wrote “Grom, 1230-1290, the most kind hearted father to ever walk the earth”. Haven sat by the grave for the next 2 days crying, after the second day Sofia led him back to the forge and forced him to eat. She stayed by him till he was ready to get back to work, at which point he remembered the key he was given. When he went down to the basement which served as the material storage, he looked around till he found the locked iron chest. Once opened inside was the hilt of a great sword, a steel and wood handle with a mithril core, and a half-finished blade 5 feet in length with a orichalcum core. Orichalcum was said to be the rarest mineral ever, nothing could damage this sword once it was completed. With the pieces of this weapon in his hands he vowed to finish this sword in honor of Grom, he spent the majority of his time completing and polishing the blade once he finished he thought back to Grom’s last lesson: “Remember son, with any weapon or armor you make that uses a precious or rare metal make sure you take the time to complete it correctly. If that means taking another whole month to finish it do so, after it is fit enough to be used by the Almighty himself the name of it will be made known to you. Once you learn this name it must be carved into it, use the forge to heat the metal then chisel the name into it.” This was the first weapon of such a high caliber Haven had ever made so he was unsure when he would learn the name so he went back to Grom’s grave and prayed. “Father I did as you instructed and finished the sword you left for me I made sure to take the time and make it to your standard. I know if you were still here you would be proud of me. In your last lesson you said the name of a great weapon will be made known to me but I can’t find it. I was hoping that you could give me some guidance or at least a direction. Who am I kidding, you would have said ‘just be patient it will come’. I have everything because of you and every day goes by and I hope to see you down in the forge but it’s just me.” He sat there in silence for a while before jumping to his feet and racing back to the forge. After almost 17 hours he finished chiseling the name in “Heaven’s smite”. A blade to be feared by all, a blade with the strength of the heavens.
