We just finished watching the concert and Jeremy went off with Alina somewhere.
"That was really fun," Alexia said rubbing her hands up and down her arms.
"Yeah. Oh, your cold," I said taking off my jacket and putting it around her shoulders.
"Classic guy move," she said and she laughed.
"When do you think that Jeremy and Alina are going to get out here," she said and my phone buzzed.
"They just texted me to meet them at the hotel and to take the car," I said and she nodded.
I drove back to the apartment and as we opened the door, the lights were off.
I tried to turn on the lights by the switch but they wouldn't turn on.
"You're kidding me," she said and I looked at her.
"What," I asked.
"The lights going out you're kidding right," she said pointing to the light switch.
"No," I said flicking the light switch a few times.
"Wait. I think Jeremy told me something about candles," she said before rummaging through the side drawers.
"Found them. Here put up a couple so we can save the rest," she said handing me a lot.
"These are a lot," I said.
There were maybe 20.
"There's a lot more," she said throwing a box of matches at me.
I caught them and we got to work organizing the candles.
We finished basically decorating our room and Alex groaned.
"What," I asked her while smiling.
"We still have to light all of these," she said and I said," Well, better get started."
"You know, this would be way easier if you were a witch," she said and I chuckled.
"I am actuallly part witch," I said striking a match in the box and lighting the candle. I blew out the match because the flame was devouring the stick.
When Alex didn't reply I turned around and stood up from my kneeling position on the floor.
She was looking at me shocked.
"You mean, we've been lighting all of these by hands when you could have just lit them like that," she said snapping her fingers at the end.
"Actually, no. I've never practiced my magic. I've trained with Uncle Nik when it comes to fighting but I've never been interested in learning magic," I said shrugging my shoulders.
"Well. Let's try," she said picking up an unlit candle.
"No. I could hurt you or something," I said shaking my head.
"You have to try," she says and I say," I don't even know what to do."
"Well. I do. You accidentally gave me a spell book and I looked through it," she says.
"This is dangerous," I said but tossed the marches down," But I'll give it a try."
"Yay. Now it said that you have to close your eyes and say the spell," she said," the spell was, um."
"I know the spell. I've overheard Hope," I said and she smiled at me.
"It says to feel from within and use that feeling to spark it," she said and I nodded.
I put my hand overs hers as we held the candle together.
I closed my eyes and muttered the spell and all I could think about was.
I was broken out of my thought process when I heard Alex softly gasp.
I opened my eyes and saw that the candle was lit.
But that wasn't it. All the candles in the room were lit.
"It's so pretty," she said and I nodded.
Both of our eyes went to our hands that were holding onto the candle stick.
Together we bent down and put it in the candle holders.
As we got up she twirled around and it made me smile.
She accidentally lost her footing and was about to fall I immediately grabbed her arm pulling her close to me.
One of my hands was losing her arm close to me as the other one supported her back.
She looked down tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear but I lifted her head up to meet my gaze with my hand.
She looked at me and then my lips.
I leaned in and she closed the gap between us.
I slid one of my hands around her waist and pulled her even closer as she put hers around my neck.
We both pulled away and she said,"Sorry. I was caught up in the," but I silenced her with another kiss.
"What about that one," I said and she leaned in closer kissing my cheek before moving away from me.
I grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer to me but she pushed me away playfully but I went along with it and fell backward onto the bed.
She walked closer to me as I slowly sat up.
She put her legs on each side of me, straddling me.
She held my face in both of her hands as she slowly connected our lips.
We pulled apart as she pushed me back and laid down on the other side of me.
"What does this mean for us," she asked as she traced figures on my arms.
"Well, what do you want it to be," I asked her, unsurely.
She sat up all of a sudden and I followed her example.
"What," I asked her and she got up.
Crossing her arms and back to me she said,"If you weren't serious you shouldn't have messed with me."
I got up and wrapped my arms around her waist, resting my chin on her shoulder.
"I love you," I whispered into her ear and she turned around.
"Promise me you won't leave me," she said and I pulled her close to me.
"I promise," I whispered in her ear.
