IT HAS BEEN SO LONG SINCE I HAVE UPDATED THIS SERIES!! I AM WORKING ON ONE THAT I AM WAY MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT (THE CAPTAIN) SO CHECK IT OUT! I plan to write these concurrently. I am SO sorry about the long wait.

Without further adieu:

Savannah's POV:

It wasn't long before thoughts and daydreams about Daniel Walker began to consume my mind. Trying to pay attention to physics lessons proved more and more difficult as the unlikely possibilities of being with Daniel played on repeat in my head.

I began to remember between what classes I would pass him, and that if I timed it just right, he would be entering the cafeteria just as I was leaving it. I would hang behind a little longer to "clean" any trash my friends had left at the table, all in hopes of catching a glimpse of Daniel and hoping that he caught one of me.

Crush. I had a crush, and it was growing bigger by the hour.  Ugh. Stupid high school crushes making it impossible to pay attention in class.

I sighed, putting my hairbrush back down on my dresser. I hated when boys made me feel so vulnerable. I hated how as strong willed as I was, boys seemed to be my downfall. I had always hoped my weakness would be something that seemed less... silly.

Jojo would be by any moment now to pick me up for Jayden Hasher's party. It was supposed to be a more secluded thing with a more select group of kids. Jayden was a senior on the lacrosse team who, I'm sure, was only okay with me being at his house because of Jojo. I saw the way Jayden looked at Jojo- complete and utter admiration. There was no doubting Jojo's beauty.

Now that I think about it, I don't know that Jayden even knows who I am.

I opted for black booties with a slight heel, ripped light wash jeans, and a black square-neck long-sleeve that accentuated my collar bones. I sifted through my jewelry box and picked out a simple gold necklace that complimented my outfit nicely.

Was there a small chance that I was hoping Daniel Walker was going to show up? Perhaps. Jayden was one of the quieter ones on the team though, and I suppose Daniel and his friends would probably want to be at a bigger, louder party chock full of "hot babes."

I heard two very loud car honks outside my window. That would be Jojo.

I grabbed my purse and scurried down the stairs and out the front door. Night was quickly approaching and a gust of cool wind brushed my blonde hair back away from my face. I nearly face planted after I stepped on a rock with my heel, but caught myself on the passenger side door of Jojo's car.

I ungracefully hobbled into her car and Jojo let out a laugh.

"I don't think I know anybody with the same level of poise and elegance that you have," she said, sarcasm laced into her words.

I responded very promptly by sticking my tongue out of my mouth at her.

"So how are things with Jayden?"

"What do you mean?"

"Don't play dumb, Jojo. Don't act like you don't know I've seen his name popping up on your phone."

"We just snapchat every now and then, that's all."

"Uh-huh."

I crossed my arms and watched a smile grow on her face. Busted.

"Alright I can't hide it, he makes me laugh," she admitted and shrugged.

A big grin stretched across my face. I loved seeing my closest friend happy.
