Let Me Go

After what seemed like hours, I still had not found an exit to the gigantic building. It was completely empty, but not completely dark.
I couldn't leave even if I found an exit until I found my friends.
I walked down to the basement. I decided to check there only after I checked everywhere else.
To be honest, I was completely terrified of going down there. I was also afraid that Cole or one of his henchmen would appear out of nowhere and capture me.
I walked down the steps into the black abyss. It was cold down here. I began to sense some presence and slow breathing.
"Hello?" I stumbled. Goddammit. Why'd I say anything?
I heard muffled yells. I pulled up my shirt back up on my shoulders, as it had fallen from being improperly slung over my half naked body.
Stupidly, I reached out into the dark. I touched... hair?
Instinctively, I pulled my hand back quickly.
I bent down on my knees and peered forward. A figured started to form. A face. Bandaged and bruised, with a cloth stuffed in the mouth.
... Lucas?
"Lucas...?" I whispered.
I pulled the cloth out of his mouth.
"... Bree?"
"Lucas! Oh my god. I'm so sorry I got you into this mess..." I said, running my fingers through my hair.
"Mmfph!"
Lucas began to kiss me. This was new. We weren't the type of couple that was lovey-dovey, and all kissey. I don't even remember if I ever kissed him before this.
He pulled away to breathe.
"...Lucas?" I whisper.
"I'm sorry Bree... I've just wanted to do that for a long time..." He breathes.
"I honestly never thought of you as a kisser..." I said.
"Well I guess I am..." he said before grasping a chunk of my hair and pulling me close again.
We kissed for a while. I broke free to breathe.
"I like this new you." I said.
"The others..." Lucas breathes.
"Where are they?" I asked.
"Over there... I think... they look like dead bodies..." he said.
"They got the worst of it..." I breathe.
I get up and walk over to the wall.
"Eiley? Joey?" I whisper.
"Bree-Sama?" I hear Eiley whisper.
"Eiley-Chan!" I run over and pull her into a hug.
"What happened...?" She asked.
"Cole..." I said.
"That bastard." Eiley laughs.
"And Joey?" I ask.
"Over there... I think." She replied.
"And..." she adds.
"What?" I asked.
"I ship it." She giggles, hinting towards me and Lucas. I had completely forgotten there were other people in the room.
Lucas had gotten up by now, and walked over to where Joey was.
"Joey...?" Lucas asks into the darkness.
"Mmfph..."
"There you are." Lucas said. He pulled the cloth from Joey's mouth.
"Bluergh!" Joey spat on the ground.
"That cloth tasted like shit." He laughs.
"Let's get outta here before morning." I said, helping Eiley up.
"Good idea." Joey huffs.
