Moonlight

The moonlight shines down and fills the night with a silver ethereal glow. Everything is silent, save for the occasional hoot of an owl. It's been a long week, and quite frankly, I've had enough. Everything seems to be going the wrong way, and every time I try to fix it, it only gets worse. The night time was my only solitude, and yet, even that is gone now. I think back on what has happened so far this week. Everything has fallen apart. There is a light tapping on my window. I gingerly stand up, careful not to make any noise, and go open my window. The moment I open it, a shadow quickly hops in.
