I look at the time hoping dinner will be ready soon, I can hear my stomach echoing off the walls of my bedroom. Dinner was supposed to be done 15 minutes ago.

*Grrr* I pat my stomach promising it food soon.

Oh gosh.

My hunger almost made me forget. I'm Suzanne Lynn, I am 12 years old. I have brown hair and bright grayish blue eyes, I'm pretty short for my age and I often get called a tiny person. I have 3 brothers and a sister who love to pick on me and also both rents.

I'm the youngest in my family, the little girl. And if you think that gets me brownie points you're way off from reality. Yumm brownies, chocolaty goodness stuffed into one beautiful creation. I'm the one that gets picked on and also used a shield in my siblings lives. Maybe they were like that to each other too.

"Suzanne come on, it's time for dinner"  "Come on I've been calling you for five minutes." I hear my older sister's footsteps walking up the stairs to my room at the end of the hallway. Her footsteps came to a halt in front of my door. She pushed open the door with a worried look on her face.

"Starr why are you looking at me like that?" I inquired as I start tying my hair in a loose pony.

"I'm just-never mind come eat" She waves and heads down the hallway to the staircase.

I rush down the stairs stopping when the fresh aroma of baked stuffed chicken entered my nostrils I speed down the last final steps and land with a thump. I wave awkwardly to my father and his friend sitting on the couch, he gives me a sloppy smile as well as his friend. I head to the kitchen, I turn and there's my sister standing there with our plates. I smile.

After about an hour of aimlessly talking about plans for the rest of the summer. Summer's almost over and I want to do something before the last month of my freedom is up. I'm going to camp this month so of course we planned around that week.

As I clean up, I hear steps stop behind me, I turn around to be faced with my father. Smiling like a clown.

"Hey babygirl, are you okay for tomorrow; want to spend time with me?" He asks sincere and innocent. His whole composure was shaky.

Knowing exactly what that meant, I quickly decline his offer. I head up stairs to my tiny bedroom, preparing myself for a sleepless night and a hard day.

I rush out of the house being late of course for the biggest moment of my life nice. I rush with my mom and sister to cab to head downtown. It take's around an hour and a half to get to the front doors. I walk in already being familiar with the place and some of it's twists and turns. I leave to sit down to wait, mom checking me in. Sigh. Fear sets in my stomach and it becomes hard not to show my worry. I feel a squeeze knowing its my sister I squeeze back with more force. 30 minutes later I'm called into a room.

"Hi, Suzanne nice to see you again"  The man smiles kindly at me.

"Hey" I say in a tiny voice. The smile gives me hopes that what he'll tell me isn't nothing too major.

"Suzanne we received the results from the lab yesterday and the biopsy came back positive  your have a rare cancer in your wrist called Epithelioid Sacorma " And just like that my heart stops. I can't breathe, I see people talking but I can't make out any of the word coming from their mouths. The tears start to run down my cheeks and on to my legs from where I was sitting , I stand up and start to yell and scream I can't control this feeling ; my head screams with pain and my eyes are going blurry.

I come out of my trance by the sound of the door slamming. I look up and around to see my sister sobbing on the floor noticing my mom left or she'll explode I continue to run possible outcomes to tell them that they're wrong. I don't have cancer!! I just can't!!!! No, no, no, no, no this can't be happening to me.

What did I ever do to deserve this?
