"Yah! Mingi-ah, say something. I didn't call you here to the cafe just to space out and smile like an idiot for nothing!" The girl infront of mr said while sipping her coffee.
"Huh?Oh...hehehe. I'm sorry Mina. I was just thinking." I gave an reassuring smile.
"Thinking? About him again? Oh come on..." she whined before speaking again. "I don't like that guy. He gives off a bad feeling. Tell me, how long have you been dating him?"
"You know, you've been telling me you don't like him ever since I started dating him, which is like for 3 months now. It's not like you are the one dating him." I puffed my cheeks and crossed my arm over my chest annoyed by her. "And FYI, Mark's a nice guy!" I snapped at the end.
"Geez, fine, I'm sorry, but you see..." she paused for a moment before she spoke again, "I think Jungkook...um...kinda sees you...um...i don't know..." she couldn't put her words together and I already knew what she was about to say, "...more than a friend. The way he smiles at you, the way he speaks towards you, the way he acts towards you,the way a hint of jealousy is shown in his eyes when you talk about Mark, the way he blush when you do somethig that make him flattered, and most importantly...the way he looks at you. Trust me, I know that look. It's all so obvious."
I looked down at my shoes and fiddled with my finger, somehow feeling guilty if I hurt Jungkook in any way. I processed everything Mina just told. Jungkook's my best friend. A friend I don't wanna lose. The thought that Jungkook likes me more than a friend never crossed my mind. But what about those times when I blush when I'm with him, What about the increase in my heartbeat when he say something sweet-
"Mingi? Were you listening?" My thoughts were cut off when Mina called my name.
"Oh! What were you saying again?" I sheepishly smiled.
"I said I need to go back home before 5." she said which earned a questioning look from me, which she have seemed to notice. "It's because we need to visit mom's friend's house."
"Ok, so lets walk together." I suggested and she nodded.
We paid for our coffees and exited the cafe. As usual, we were taling about this and that, when suddenly I remembered something from when she was lecturing me about Jungkook. A mischievous smirk formed my lips when I asked,
"Remember when you were talking about Jungkook in there?"
"Yea?"
"How do you know that look?" I asked.
"What look?"
"Remember when you said that last sentence, and then you said I know that look?"
"Oh, that? yea...it's just...you know...um..."she trailed off, thinking for a good word to fit her sentence, "...dramas!" she nervously laughed at the end.
"Eh?!" I went closer to her face, examining it and I could see tiny beeds of sweat, forming on her forehead."Is it perhaps..."
"Huh?"
"Jimin?"
"What? No. Okay, bye, I need to go." Before I could say something, she ran off as fast as she could, away from me.
"I knew it" I chuckled.
On my way home, I was deep thoughts about Jungkook that I didn't notice when I bumped into someone.
"Mingi?"
"Jungkook?!"
"It's good I found you here. Are you free today?" he asked and I nodded. Well I was free, even Mark isn't here now. I didn't hear from him this weekend"Great! Get ready by 6. We're going somewhere."
