Ariana's POV
*~Monday morning~*
I wake up do my normal routine and I go into Shannon's room to see if she's in there and she's not.
So I go downstairs to see if she's down there and on my way I look out the way and I see my moms car out in the drive way.
It's strange cause she's always gone to work in the morning. Maybe she's off today.
When I get downstairs I see her and Shannon sitting down at the table drinking coffee with a dad look on their face.
Me: what's wrong?
Mom: honey, come sit. Please
I walk over to the table and sit down.
Me: yes??
A tear rolls down Shannon's cheek.
Mom: honey, your dads been arrested.
Suddenly my confused look turns into a sad look.
Me: w-what?
Mom: last night he got too drunk and did some things-
I cut her off.
Me: like what?!
Mom: he-
She pauses.
Mom: he was driving while drunk and an officer pulled him over and told him to step out of the car and when he did-
A tear starts rolling down her face.
Mom: he stabbed the police officer
I can feel my heart being burst into a million pieces.
Me: well.... when can we see him next ? Like for a visit?
Mom: they want us to wait a few months.
Me: a few months? but I can't wait that long! we just started to make up!
Mom: I know and your just gonna have to wait. But they said if he confesses and they get it all worked out you can visit him in 3 weeks.
I sigh.
Mom: but you girls can stay home today if you want.
Me: ok.
Shannon gets up and runs upstairs to her room and she slams the door.
*~later today~*
I get a text from joe, jake and Rosie.
Joe: where are you babe? I miss you !
Jake: hey ari! where are you?
Rosie: hey bæ! You coming to school today ?
I text Rosie back first.
Me: no. I'm staying home today ):
Then I text joe.
Me: I'm staying home. ): and I miss you too ! :*
And then I text jake.
Me: hey! I'm at home. don't feel like going to school today ):
Then jake immediately texts back.
Jake: oh well I saw Joe and this girl rubbing up on each other. Did you know about this ?
Me: wth?! no! do you know who it was? why would he do this to me?!?!?!
Jake: yeah her name's Rebecca.
Me: ughh!!
