He took my face in his hands.

"I love you, Lyss. I really do." And he kissed me. Weird thing is, I didn't resist. I let him and honestly, I did kiss back. "I'm taking that you love me too and you forgive me?" I just nodded and kissed him again. The familiar feeling of his lips on mine was bittersweet.

I sat up in my bed and sighed. That was the fifth time I had a dream about David since he came back home. I was crying again. I was so tired of being hurt. I was so tired of being sad. There was a soft knock on my door.

"Come in." I said, pulling my knees to my chest and burying my face in them. The door opened then I felt arms wrap around me.

"Sh. It's going to be okay."

I leaned into him and sighed. I wished I could believe him.

"How are you so sure?"

"Look at me."

I looked into his gentle, beautiful dark brown eyes.

"You know me. I wouldn't say anything that I didn't believe to be true. Now would I?"

"I guess not."

"Things will get better. I promise."

"Thanks, Richie."

"No problem."

Then I did something I never would've imagined doing. I kissed him. He was shocked at first, but then melted into the kiss. I don't know what happened. I just know that I felt really good. I'm guessing he liked it too. I pulled away and stared at him in shock. I didn't know what to say or do. He stared back at me in equal shock, but with a little passion buzzing in his eyes.

"I am so ..."

He interrupted me by kissing me again. I just let him. I don't know why I let him. He put so much passion into that kiss. I didn't know what to do. Honestly, I just let my emotions take over me. At that point, I didn't care anymore. All I knew was that I had fallen for Richie and Richie was kissing me. He pulled away and moved a strand of my hair out of my face. I didn't say anything and neither did he.

"Come on. You need to get some sleep." He said quietly, gently pushing me back onto the bed and covering me with the blanket.

"Do you mind staying in here tonight? In case I have another nightmare?" I asked.

He shook his head and got under the covers, pulling me close.

"I don't mind at all."

He kissed my forehead and softly hummed some song, stroking my hair. I didn't want to fall asleep because I loved hearing his beautiful voice, but I was finally able to sleep.
