A Flash!

It was mid summer and Elizabeth was starting to get really anxious to see Brandon again. Sure they texted pretty often but she missed his smile and his eyes. I guess after Europe she started to really realize how much she truly wanted to come home because she wanted to see him again. The Washington township parade was only 33 days away and it seemed to be all Elizabeth talked about! She absolutely can't wait to see him again and better yet she might even see him 2 days in a row! But before that even happened Brandon texted her! she didn't even open it before I received a text message on my phone saying "HE TEXTED ME" I immediately told her to open it and see what it said she texted me back within a minute and started to freak out! I told her to calm down and slow down and tell me what was going on! she then texted back in all caps and said "HE ASKED ME OUT ON A FIRST DATE" I told her to say yes but there is always hesitation! She told him yes and he picked her up 2 days later for there first date. Brandon is only 15 so his mom drove them. Elizabeth didn't know where they were going he told her it was a surprise! The only thing she could see was a blanket in the back of the car. Brandon's mom stopped at the fire station that Brandon volunteers at so he could pick up a few things for the special night they were about to have. After being in the car for about 20 minutes they finally arrived! Brandon got out of the car and went to open the door for Elizabeth. He opened the door.

Elizabeth- "Thank you Brandon"

Brandon- " you're very welcome"

Brandon- " you ready to go"

Elizabeth murmurs "as ready as I'm ever gonna get"

Brandon- "What are you nervous or something?"

Elizabeth- " yeah a little bit"

Brandon- "there's nothing to be afraid of its just me!

Elizabeth- *blushes*

Brandon- "come on I have a surprise for you in the car"

Brandon- *opens the car door and pulls out a blanket and a large basket from the back of the car along with one of his jackets*

Elizabeth- * immediately smiles and follows Brandon to a beautiful field of flowers*

Both- *put the blanket down and sit down*

Elizabeth- " so what's in the basket?"

Brandon- "you're really excited aren't you?"

Elizabeth- "I'm excited to be with you but I'm nervous"

Brandon- "come on it'll be fun I promise"

*Brandon grabs the basket and opens it, then takes out what's in the basket*

They eat the food and desserts that Brandon brought in the basket for them, then they lay down on the blanket.

Brandon-" so....... What's it like being a swimmer and being in the bad?"

Elizabeth- *goes on to explain the balance of being a swimmer and twirling baton*

Elizabeth-" what's it like being a Jr firefighter?"

Brandon-" it's really fun getting to go on calls and help the community"

*they continue to talk and look at the stars until Brandon's mom comes to pick them up."

They drive Elizabeth home and when they get out of the car Brandon walks her to the door..............

Brandon- " I had a really good time tonight"

Elizabeth-*blushes* then replies " I had a really nice time tonight to"

Brandon-" maybe we can go on a second date sometime"

Elizabeth's face gets all red and so does Brandon's

Elizabeth rep,it's yeah we should, they hug and then she proceeds to go inside.
