Lunch. The best time of the day where you sit with friends and eat food. Oh delicious, satisfying, savory food. It just never lets you down. I walk into the cafeteria with my food in my hand. I looked around until I saw blonde hair in a fish tail braid. I walked over and set my tray down next to my sister Skylar. Twins. Yet nothing alike. She's the definition of gorgeous, long toned legs, tinny waist, blonde silk like hair, and bright blue eyes. Me on the other hand I have long dirty blonde hair, a fairly decent body, and grey eyes. I always envied my sister. She was so out going, energetic, and just a little ball of sunshine. Nothing like me.
I was snapped out of my thought when I felt two hands wrap around me. "Scar!!" She yelled while hugging me with a bone crushing strength. "Hey Lynn" I said to my best friend of 7 years. Ashlynn oh Ashlynn. Where do I even start. Ashlynn is pretty much the wild child of the group, she's the life of the party. She has red hair, hazel eyes, a gorgeous smile, a lip ring, and her laugh is the greatest thing ever.
"What are you doing tonight?" She asked while putting her hair in a ponytail. "The usual. Do my homework, watch supernatural while eating junk food, then go to sleep." She shakes her head with a disappointed look. "You're so boring. Me and Alex were going to the movies to see Sinister 2, wanna come?" I looked at her crazy. "And be a third wheel? I'll pass." "Why don't you invite Jace? We all know he has a thing for you." I looked down at my food.
Jace Marshall. He's my close friend and is always there for me. He's on the football team, with all A's, a great personality, a charming smile, and deep blue eyes. He's hot I'll admit but I couldn't see him in that sense. "You know I don't feel that way about him." I looked over at Lynn. "Come on Scarlet! He's had a crush on you since the 8th grade!" "But I don't feel that way about him!" I yelled shutting her up. . Soon Alex came over with Jace. Lynn smiled up at Alex while he quickly pecked her lips. "Hey babe." He said while sitting next to Lynn. "Hey" she said smiling. Jace came over and sat next to me. "Hey Rose" Jace said causing me to tense up. Only Alex called me that and everyone knew that. I looked up at Alex to see him glaring at Jace. "Only Alex calls me that." I said looking at Jace. "I'm sure he wouldn't mind sharing with me right Alex?" I looked up expecting him to say yes he does mind but instead he just said through gritted teeth. "It's fine." It quickly became awkward. "I just remembered I have to finish an essay that's due tomorrow. I'll be in the library if you guys need me." I said quickly getting up and throw away my trash.
I looked at the clock showing I have 25 minutes left of lunch. I walked to the library and sit in one of the small offices used for study groups. I close the door and close the blinds so no one would be able to see me.
