When the school bell rang everyone went ballistic. The halls became death traps, and lockers could be heard opening and closing.

I was still sitting in my seat, making sure that nothing would happen to my precious computer. Seconds passed, those seconds turned into minutes, and soon enough the hallways were as clear as can be, well, with the exception of trash and scattered papers.

"April, are you going home?" The homeroom teacher asked. I nodded with a warm smile on my face and responded, "Of course, I await for these moments day after day, I just don't like being shoved around in the hallway." The teacher nodded, "I understand," she said and placed all the books in their proper places and left.

Such a nice teacher they were, I wish the world would be as pleasant. I got up, my books and computer were presses against my chest as I kicked the chair back in.

I smiled at myself like an idiot, and walked down a air filled hallway to put up my books. But to my surprise, there were some left over boys in the school who possibly had detention.

"Screw detention!" One groaned, "It's so boring, I'm surprised I didn't fossilize 'nd die!" I froze. Please don't notice me, please don't notice me. I pleaded in my head vigorously, but a book of mine jus had to drop and...

" Hey, did you hear that?"
"Hear what? The sound of your annoying voice?"

When I heard two I became even more scared, I only thought one was roaming down the hallway. I hung my head and tightly shut my eyes.

I crouched down and hugged my kneed to my chest. I heard something slipping, a slow and painful movement of an object. I was completely ignorant to the fact that it was my computer slipping out of my bag.

"Hey, watch out!"

I head books falling, the hardened covers all tumbling out and open around me. "April, you need to be more careful, especially with piece of technology. One hit to it can cause the entire thing to break. "I looked up and notice the face of someone I had met a few hours ago.

I got up and brushed myself off, "Thank you, uhh..." The guy looked at me with hooded eyelids and a sarcastic frown, indicating he was not impressed, "You're lonely, you're rude, and you're forgetful..." He sighed, "How can you get any worse? The name's March, like in the third month."

I nodded with my eyes darted to the left, "Alright, so I guess I owe you one?" March crossed his arms, "Damn right you do, and I can hold your computer hostage." I looked up at him with wide eyes and an ajar mouth.

"Please give my computer back to me..." I said quietly. "Only when we leave the party together okay? I'll pick you up at five!" He turned his back to me and I shouted out to him.

"Please give my computer back!" I shouted at him and he turned back around retaliating with a "What are you going to do about it?"

"I... I won't go to the party if you don't give it back!"
"Oh yeah, sure. I'll just go through your personal files and mess everything up. Then maybe I'll install a virus and mess up the coding for the  devise."

I bit my lip, I save up so much for that computer and a stupid high schooler is going to ruin it. Tears started falling from my eyes as my breathing pattern turned abnormal. My vision was blurring and I had a strong urge to jump at his throat.

"F-f-fi-n-ne" I stuttered. I honestly hated parties and such, so I had tried to avoid it as much as possible. I didn't want to attend it at all, but that boy had caught me, and now, I can't retaliate at all...

Why are you doing this to me, March?
