I could see the sun setting over the big, grass covered hills. It was quite a beautiful site to see on a Sunday night. Just watching it settled me in some way. It was...relaxing. Usually, my boyfriend Louis, would sit down to enjoy the scene also. But with all of the busy work at the shop, it was hard to find time for us anymore. After getting denied on the XFACTOR, he had to come back home and try to get on with life. He poured his soul into his practices, but when it all came down to the audition, he cracked under pressure. So upon arriving back to home, he eventually got his old job back at the shop. It was hard for him at first; to deal with all of his emotions. "What if he did get through?" He would always mumble to himself. He didn't know I could here his questions, but I could. And it hurt. I hated seeing him like that.
I watched the sun go down, until there was little light left to see. My home wasn't to far away-within walking distance. As I getting up to leave and return back to the house, I spotted a tiny kitten, not but a few days old. It looked old enough to be on it's own to survive with out it's mother, but I highly doubted it would.
I gently took, her, in my hands and softly stroked the tiny fur. "I must bring you home with me, maybe Louis will let me keep you." I say smiling to myself, knowing Louis couldn't deny my pleas to keep her.
I started walking to the house quickly, but gently. The walk was quite, only the sounds of my shoes crunching the fallen leaves and the little purrs coming from the kitten.
When I reached the porch, I could see Louis's car in the driveway. I smiled to myself and walked up the steps. When I opened the unlocked door, I couldn't believe what was in my site.
