Your start driving as far away as you could from The Team 10 house as you could. "Snap out of it Y/N". You think. You wipe your eyes and then turn your car around. You then end up in the Barnes and Noble parking lot. You send a quick text telling Tessa come meet you. She has responded almost instantly saying that she would be there as soon as possible. In the meantime you decided to re-do your make/up and hair. Your phone beeped signaling that a new tweet was posted by someone you follow in Team 10. You type in your password and click on the twitter icon.
"I really screwed up this time.."Jake had posted.
And then your phone beeped one more time and the tweet said: "I'm sorry for hurting you the way I did. You deserve so much better than me. I won't ask you to reconsider." (Then you thought to yourself "why is he tweeting this shit, he doesn't love me anymore")
You power of your phone, not wanting to see or hear anything from Jake or Alissa,,for that matter.
"Hi". You turn and find Tessa leaning in through your open car window.
"Hey" you reply.
"You've been crying." She states, "what happened?"
You swallow and grit your teeth. "Jake cheated on me with his ex Alissa. I walked in on them kissing. He said it's not what it looks like. But what else could they be doing. He even tweeted about it."
Tessa placed her hand on your leg, "Hun I am SO sorry. I never thought something like this would happen. So, what are you going to do?"
"He tweeted about how he wouldn't ask for a second chance, but I know he does. Do you think I should talk to him? I'm not that kind of person who does. Can I ask you something?"
"Sure" Tessa says.
How did you not know about him cheating?"
"I was shopping". Tessa said.
Okay. Then Tessa nodded "Do you want me there?"
"Yes please" I said.
Tessa nodded.
*two weeks later*
You were about to walk into the team 10 house and take a deep breath. You've about to talk to Jake after weeks of e sleds crying and wondering what you had done wrong. You have been ignoring his calls, texts, tweets, and posts. Tessa told you that he had barely coming out. And you were petrified. You couldn't think of any possible reason why Jake would cheat. But he had...
Finally, you mister up the courage to walk in. And Tessa was beside you. The twins said: "we're on your side" You head upstairs and find yourself about to knock on the door to jakes room.
You then knock.
"Go away". Jake says, his voice is strangled.
"It's me" you say.
He then opens the door and says: "why is Tessa here?"
"I wanted her here". You then say.
He then stares at you for a couple seconds before he starts sobbing.
"Jake", you whisper, even though he hurt you, you still hated him looking like this.
"She's gone,. I kicked her out".
You stay quiet and push Jake back slowly, far enough so that both of you are are in his room and are able to close and lock the door.
You hen re/open the door and you say to Tessa: "thx for helping me, I can handle this now".
"No problem"she says.
Then you back in the room with Jake and he says: "I regret doing what I did with her. I can promise that all we did was kiss." Jake says, his voice full of pain. "I love you more than anything. I just...took you for granted. I wanted something new a change. And I guess something about us was just so the same. Alissa made the first move".
"You could have just told me. You didn't have to cheat on me".
"I know!" he sobs, "You don't know how much you wish I could change everything. It helps me up at night knowing, that I lost a part of me. That I was the one who made you leave".
You hated Jake for cheating, but at the same time you longed for his arms to be around you. And you believed him, every word he spoke. Andyour hand rested on his chest felling his heart beat.
Then you say: "Jake...I don't know if I..."
"Can take me back?" I'm not asking you, but I'm begging you please, knowing that I lost a part of me and I realize that I can't live without you. You don't have to start trusting me now, we don't have to be what we once where. But I want to try, and if you're willing too..."
"I..." You stare at jakes face. "It's just going to take some time."
"Ik Y/N. and I promise you I won't be stupid like that. Ever again".
And somehow In that moment you knew that everything was going to be okay
