After Leadworth I never saw Familiar Girl again.

Well...

Sort of...

Here's the thing...

I'd been traveling with the Doctor, Rory and Amy, for God knows how long.

We'd been to some amazing places and some that aren't.

For example: Two Amy's not very nice experience not just for Rory but also for the Doctor he'd been become attached to her and Rory and actually, so have I.

Loosing them both was emotionally scarring.

I'd never lost anyone let alone a companion or become so emotionally attached to anyone, other than family. The Doctor, obviously, but I just hadn't seen him like this.

His eyes weren't bright anymore. He hadn't worn bow ties for almost twenty years.

Twenty years.

Time, literally, flies when in the TARDIS.

He wasn't The Doctor.

Not even my Doctor.

One afternoon I woke up, his emotional state had taken a tole not just on me, but on the TARDIS herself. Scrambling my way to the main control panel of the TARDIS.

"Hey beautiful," I smile, running my fingers around the TARDIS panel, she hummed to life at my light touch. Furrowing my eyebrows I take a deep breath in, closing my eyes thinking carefully "Command line interface"

There he was. My Doctor.

A sad smile danced on my lips, as he stood before me.

"How may I help Ms. Tamsen" The, monotone, interface spoke.

"Please call me Athena" I said, sitting at the chair placed by the panel putting my feet up, looking at him.

"Of course, Athena. How may I be of assistance ?" Asked the interface.

"Well something's puzzling me Doctor," I sigh, looking at his blank expression "I don't know if I am having the same experience...as I did," I laughed, at myself "With you" Putting my feet down, lacing my fingers in my lap.

"I'm not sure I, understand" The interface replied, cocking his head to the side.

"I don't know if I'm in love with you," I say, furrowing my eyebrows "The new you I-I just don't know," I sigh sadly, standing and looking the Interface in the eyes. The Interface stared straight through me, like I was a wall made of glass.

I was about to reach out to touch the interface when it was snapped off.

"What the-?" I whisper under my breath, turning around to see him standing there. The Doctor finally standing at the control panel.

"I understand if you want leave" He speaks, his tone flat void of emotion.

"No!" I exasperated retracting and speaking again "No, I would never want to leave you Doctor it's just..." I trail off.

"You miss him don't you ?" He asks walking towards me, bringing the interface up again.

Nodding my head solemnly, turning away, I don't want to look into his eyes. I feel his hands on my shoulders as his body stands behind mine, I can feel the warmth of his chest on my back.
