I'm just a normal sixteen year old girl who has nothing to worry about but her internet being slow. I have no idea what to do with my life, I've told myself that I'm just living every step by step, but in fact I'm just too lazy to figure out my own life. Is not like in my house they care, as long as my sister, Tania, had everything figured out, life was good.
One Friday of March seemed like a normal day with nothing to look forward, but I was wrong. "Chloe!" All I hear over and over again a Friday. Until I decide to deal with life, brush my teeth, change to school uniform and go to what I call "the trial", or what society calls breakfast. As I went downstairs I already could hear mom saying "I'm worried about Chloe, she has done nothing with her life." See? The trial. I brushed it off and sat down as if I hear nothing. My sister is a gymnast ever since she was four. Since she has won over a hundred times in competitions, my mom is like her manager. I, in the other hand, played the piano, my teachers said I was a prodigy ever since I was four, but back then my mom was going through the divorce and she had no money to pay for neither of us, but she chose my sister's gymnastic classes over my piano lessons. That's the way it has been since, ever. My mom is really nice to me and all, by the favoritism has really made a gap between us two. Anyways, I'm pretty much used to it. "Today we have the big math exam." Said Tania.
"I know you will ace it, mostly because four colleges have been showing interest in you." Replied mom.
"What about you Chloe? Next year you'll be a senior and your sister won't be there to protect you." Said my mom changing drastically her voice tone.
"She's not protecting me now." I said loud enough, but they still ignored me and I stood up and left. I have my own car, not from mom but from dad. He's always on trips, but from the family he's the only one who doesn't ignore me.As I entered school's parking lot I saw in front of me, Caleb's car. He's school's dream guy. You know, typical captain of the football team, yada yada yada, good grades, rich, pretty boy, yeah very cliché, but admit it, every girl wants a Caleb. He was driving with he two best friends, Connor, he's the bad boy of the school, pretty cliché too, and Alex, he's the "Mr. Steal your girl", the label says it all. Caleb had a girlfriend a few weeks ago, Emma, she's also the most popular girl from school, thanks to Caleb but she keeps her social life pretty much, perfect.
As Caleb's car was parking I kind of zoned out and made everyone who was behind me mad, as all I could hear were honks of the cars. I realized what was happening the moment Caleb looked at me and laughed. Holy tomato. Afterwards, I entered the hallway "CHLOEE" the yelling was coming from behind me. "Oh no..." I whispered to myself. I just felt a tiny body hugging me from behind, it was my best friend Ivory, she has short hair and dies it every month of a different crazy color. "Chloe! Protect me!" She said giving me puppy eyes. I was so confused. "Iv! I swear to-- oh, hey Chloe." It was Nathan, Ivory's best friend, who is starting to grow on me since we both understand how annoying Iv is. She might be cute and seem helpless, but she's a straight up hacker and a boxer. "Iv, what did you do know?" I asked her in a mother-mode. "Pfft, nothing, I was just playing around with his cellphone." Ivory replied trying to brush off the fact she actually hacked Nathan. "She not only hacked my cellphone, she changed all my contacts name into "bananas", I've had it with you!" Nathan defended himself madly. They started to go at each other and I preferred not to intervene between those two. As I rolled my eyes I could see Tania flirting with Caleb and Connor. If mom knew what she was doing she would flip, neither of us is allowed to date, but she has had a dozen of guys in secret.
In fourth period we had P.E, I hate P.E. Tania was there to help the teacher, even though she's a senior. I could see her winking at Connor and smiling at Caleb. Iv was standing by my side and I could see her ranging mad, she has had this crush on Connor for over a year, but I told her, he doesn't know she exists, so she has no room for complaining. As we were jogging by the entire field I could see my sister leaving which was so unlike her, she would do anything to skip classes. Not like if she needed to, she has straight A's and loved by all teachers, as for me, they call me, "Mrs. Blackwood no. 2".
