-set on train where Cammie had a "new speech for Peacock". Zack pulls her inside compartment-
Zack's POV:
"You aren't supposed to be here, Gallagher girl." I was furious. Did she have any idea how dangerous this was? Did she even realize who was after her?! I watched as her eyes shifted from shock to anger. She snapped. "You're telling me that I shouldn't be here?" I winced. "It's dangerous." I said, trying to find a way to make this clear to her, to make her understand. "In case you haven't noticed, I can take care of myself." Not against these guys. Cammie needs me. I watched her eyes go wide. "Zach" She whispered. The train lurched, and she fell into my arms. She didn't move. Behind her stood Preston, knife in hand. "Nice to see you again, Goode."
I raced out into the hallway. Preston was here. That meant Circle. I had to get Cammie out of here. I pulled out my parachute. Would it hold two of us? Cammie moaned. "It's going to be O.K Gallagher Girl. " I said, trying to sound soothing. My voice shook. I would never forgive myself if she died. I had to hope. We neared the ravine. I prepared to jump. I looked up, sent a prayer to the stars. "Please let us live." And I jumped.
Cammie and I plummeted into the darkness. My heart jumped to my throat. I had to focus. 3...2... "One!" I shouted, pulling the rip cord. The parachute fanned out catching the wind and hoisting us into the air. I gritted my teeth as the straps of the parachute yanked my shoulders. We drifted dangerously close to the waterline. If we landed in the water, we were toast.

I applied water to Cammie's wound. It didn't seem that bad, for a knife stab. She would live. The knife had grazed just below her rib cage. I ripped off a strip of my shirt, tying it around her stomach. Hopefully that would stop the bleeding. I sat back and took a deep breath. Cammie will live. Cammie will live. She is going to be okay. My Gallagher Girl is safe for now. But what's next? Zack thought hard. What would Joe Solomon do? Joe had once told him- "Your memory is your first and best weapon. Use it."
Preston had been on the train. He had stabbed Cammie. He must have known that the stab wouldn't kill her. Was he trying to get a message across? Or had he not counted on Zack being there. Why was Cammie there ? That went without answering. Where there was one Gallagher Girl, there were usually others. As Cammie had once said, "We're like smoke and fire that way." He chuckled at the memory. There was nobody like his Gallagher Girl.
