- Another version of how Gallagher meets Blackthorne. Naturally, the girls kick A$$. This is gonna be fun. OH, its also a covert op-
Macey's POV-
Our first cove ops of the semester. Never gets old. Naturally, me, Bex, and Cammie are there ten minutes early. Liz was called away by Mr.Solomon. He said he wanted to talk to her about her COW scores. Last time we'd seen her she was white as chalk. She probably thought she missed half a point or something. Ha. More likely she got a higher score then everybody in our year.
Cammie's POV:
We wait patiently for Mr. Solomon to come back with Liz. I wonder what he has planned. He told us to dress casually, so I was wearing a white, flowy, halter top and light jeans with black flats. In my purse I had a reversible cap (One side was Carolina blue, with the slogan "If you can't beat em, join em" on it and the other side was black with white letters that said "strong") a pair of no-heel sandals and some cat-eye reflective sunglasses that covered half of my cheekbones.
Mr. Solomon appeared with Liz, who was carrying a black backpack. She looked a little less frightened. "In the van ladies, we don't have all day." Mr. Solomon said. We drove through 3 states, and then boarded a plane. The seats were really uncomfortable until Macey sat down. "Heck no." She said. She went up to the cockpit and returned with four soft white pillows. We gaped. I chose not to ask. We fell asleep instantly.
Bex's POV: We got off the plane and took a taxi to a town called Seabrook. We pulled up at a large, grey, brick building. The sign read : "Seabrook Highschool for Future Leaders" Liz looked disgusted. "What is it?" I whispered to her. "I've heard about this place. They only take kid's who are really rich, or their parents are. They gave a really rude rejection to my application." She said back. "Well, that's good, because we got you instead. These guys don't know what they missed." I retorted. Liz smiled. Truly, she was the backbone to our group. Cammie was the confidence, I was the brawn, Macey was the cover, but Liz was the heart.
Mr. Solomon had debriefed us on the plane. "You will be infiltrating a highschool to find out who's parents have been backing a well known weapons dealer, James Pickford. Since you are not fully trained yet, your job is simply to locate the student, and report back. Do not mess this up. In addition, you will be joined by 3 highly trained agents-" "Who?" I interrupted. "CIA, FBI, is MI6 helping?" "No, they are young men your age and they go to a school like yours..." Liz and Cam shared a look. "So that was what Blackthorne was!" Liz exclaimed. Mr. Solomon did not looked surprised. He sighed and muttered something about "Owing Rachel 15 bucks." "Yes" he said.
"These agents know there will be other agents there that are their age, but they do not know your gender. I hope you ladies will use this to your advantage." We received a rare smile. He passed out files. There was a really cute looking guy named "Grant Newman" and he specialized in fighting and shooting targets. Okay, screw cute, this guy was hot. There was another dude named "Jonas Anderson" He had curly brown hair and glasses. Specialized in tech. Liz stared. Ha, love at first sight. The last guy had black hair and green eyes. Name was Zachary Goode. Specialized in fighting and pavement artistry. Cam's guy. I definitely ship them.
Cammie's POV:
We didn't have any luggage, so I guess we would have to go shopping in town. Ugh. We drove into town. Macey demanded that she pick us three outfits each, and we would get to pick two. Once we got our stuff and went to the cash register, Macey handed the clerk her card. He looked at us as if we were pop stars. As we left, I called over my shoulder "Thanks!"
"Your welcome - Your Highnesses!"
I looked at Macey, confused. "That sometimes happens." She says with a shrug. "Lot of money, small town, people make assumptions." We left the town feeling slightly disturbed.
