Last Period: World History

Ayun, yung  last hour na free time namin, biglang nawala nang matapos ng maaga yung meeting ng mga teachers. Pero ‘di bale na, World History naman yung last period eh.

This was my only favorite subject. Not because of the lessons, but because of the teacher, Sir Frank. And, yes, I’m a Percy Jackson fan. The movie sucks, though. (no offense to Logan Lerman fans out there)

And nothing else could spoil the fascinating Greek History lesson than Jason Sarmiento sitting beside you, talking about his crush.

Sir Frank

Nerd                      gamer                   nerd                      nerd

Jason                     Me                         bookworm          deadkid

Bookwrom          noisy guy             Cassy                     Mr. good-looking

You may have noticed, kasama ako sa nerdy guys. MABAIT KASE AKO. And I am a bookworm.

I was staring at jason, not really processing his words, chuckling when he smiles, nodding airily. My brain said unnecessarily.

“Yeah, I noticed,” Jason said, smirking at me.

I blinked at him, startled. Did I just say that aloud?

“Yes, you did.” Jason replied, grinning like a maniac. I was about to say something when he gasped so loud, Sir Frank paused and stole us a glance. “Ang ganda ng mata mo!” I shamelessly say, I blushed. Sir Frank was talking louder. Oh, look, Isaac has a new book. And ganda ng ballpen ko. Kelangan ko na ng g-tech. May tumatawag ba sa’kin? Ano daw?

Face still burning, i looked at jason and tried to make an annoyed face and grunted. “Wag ka nga,”

“’Di, seryoso ang ganda ng mata mo, tignan mo!”

Sure, everyone can look at their own eyes. “Are you shitting me?”

“Tumingin ka nga ulit doon!” he grabbed my chin and forced my face at the window, the sun stinging my eyes.

“Nasisilaw ako!”

“Brown mata mo kapag na’sa arawan!”

“Wala akong pake—“ the friggin’ bell rang. I slapped his hand impatiently away and began piling up my books on my desk, all the while Jason was grinning down on me. I was conscious of the sun hitting my eyes. Lintek naman, kelangan ba talagang tumitig? Sa’yo na mata ko. Pagkatayo ko, may tumatawag kay Jason. Ang without another word, he grabbed my books and ran outside.

“Hoy!” I called after him, but he was gone.

I walked over to the door and sighed. I felt a chin resting over my shoulder. “Tara na,”
