When the next day came I felt slightly nervous but kept my composure. Since the beginning of this morning, Mia was avoiding me by keeping her distance. She would either sit in the living room and watch TV or she would have the TV off and just use her phone.

I made a vow to her on our wedding day and I meant it. I made a willing dedication to her. I can never hurt her in that way again because she's the one that understands me and knows what I've went through.

I jogged down the stairs quickly as soon as I heard the front door open. When I got to the last step Mia turned her head towards me. She came inside with shopping bags on her left arm and two more on the right arm. She held her phone in her right hand with her keys, while the other hand held her black Chanel wallet. She still had her sunglasses over her eyes which made it harder for me to see her expression.

"Oh no." She said quietly as she was still looking my way but turned to walk out the door.

"Where are you going, now?"

"Possibly somewhere attempting to avoid you. I know you told me not to worry about you cheating but I- I just can't." Her hand gripped onto the doorknob, getting ready to turn it but I made it in time to hold the door close with my hand.

"I know, you can't trust me but don't you understand that I proposed to you, I provided a bigger shelter for you when the other house we lived in was perfectly fine but you wanted to feel like a special princess and I gave that to you because I love you."

All she did was stood there and listened. I stared at the side of her face as a single tear escaped from her teary eyes. She blinked a few times before turning sharply to face me. She lifted her hand up and pointed her finger at me.

"I swear Justin, if you look at her in any kind of way during this dinner, I will want a divorce and never see you again. I have feelings and you hurt me so many times I'm almost to the edge of breaking. Don't. Mess. This. Up." She held her shopping bags in her arms firmly and walked off.

I haven't seen that side of Mia in so long, and believe me it's not exciting to be around. The day I confessed to cheating she wouldn't call or text me back about how she was doing. It took a month for her too cool down. But I would never cheat on Mia again, I can't let her walk away that easily.

Later on that day we decided to get ready. She was taking a quick shower in our bathroom and trust me when I say this, it was hard to convince her to just shower in the same room as me.

I stood in front of the full body mirror in Mia and I's bedroom. I buttoned up the last button on my suit jacket and then adjusting it on my shoulders. I made reservations at 'Sierra Mar' restaurant at six in the evening to get to know our guest a little more. The guest should be here in an hour and Ryan, my childhood friend, offered to join us.

Ryan had moved here years ago from England and I moved over here to California from Canada at around the same time. We ended up in the same private school for third grade and been friends ever since. We have two different job goals. I wanted to manage an empire; to become CEO of Bank Examining and for Ryan he wanted to be a Doctor for patients with minor conditions, ones that are commonly curable and that could revive his patients.

I looked over at the bathroom door as the knob of it turned and revealing Mia coming out of the steamy bathroom. She wrapped a towel around her head and body. Her eyes met mine but again diverted them away from me and heading over towards the bed. She sat down, crossing her right leg over the left and taking the bottle of strawberry scented lotion off of the night stand.
