Vanessa's P.O.V

I woke up to the bright light that was in the sky, which is the sun. Leo was opening the curtains of the hospital room I was still in since 7 nights ago.
"Wake up darling!" Leo yelled.
I put my pillow on my face and just groaned.
"Come on, you need to take your pills"
He said sad at that.
Ever since I found out Blake cheated on me I started taking pills because the doctor took a blood test and I was diagnosed depressed. My werwolf side was developing way faster than expected. I tried to stand up but my feet were too weak. Leo grabbed me by my waist before I fell.
"Is this cheating?" I ask my depression kicking in.
"Girl! I'm gay and I haven't told anyone, not even blake" he said.
"Why did you told me then?"
I ask because I'm not that close to him yet to know something so serious like that.
"Because I believe you and me will become very close, and I need to trust you"
He said smiling at me.
"How is he?"
I ask referring to Blake.
He hasn't come around since that night I passed out.
"Stressed, he doesnt have his mate by his side"
He said.
I looked down and cried.
"Its all my fault, I'm useless"
I said.
"V, it's not your fault that he decided to do that to you, it was his choice"
Leo said with anger in his tone remembering that night.
"You are going to his house and talk to him, I'll be by your side"
He told me truthfully.
I cleaned myself up with the help of Leo and we headed out to blakes house.

I stepped my right foot on the first step and I was already scared to face him.
Leo encouraged me to open the door and I did it. I went inside to be met by darkness.
I saw that the kitchen was a mess with every alcoholic liquor that you could imagine. I went to blakes office to see that it was destroyed.
Leo gave me a little push to the stairs and with his help I got went up the stairs. I softly knocked on the door and I heard a groan. Leo went in and saw his best friend on the bed looking like a mess. Leo told him to wake up and take a shower. I decided to wait for Leo and Blake at the living room that was the cleanest place in the house right now. I sat down on the love seat and I was anxious to get this thing over. Every what ifs went through my mind and I pushed them aside once I saw Leo and Blake coming downstairs.
Leo was beside me to stand and Blake was a few feet away from me.
"Hey" he said softly.
"Hi" I said shyly.
"Can we talk?"
Blake asked and I just nodded.
Blake was about to grab my hand but I flinched and backed away. I sat down on the single seat and he sat on the table that was in front of me.
Leo went to his office to get his work done and I got really jumpy and anxious.
"Vanessa, I'm sorry"
He said to me.
I looked up at him and saw that he had tears in his eyes.
"Why didn't you came to visit me all that time I was at the pack doctor?"
I ask not looking at him
"Were you busy again?"
I ask remembering what he did to me.
"No, I was drinking and sleeping"
He mumbled but I heard him clear.
"Why? It didnt look to me that you wanted a mate or even loved me"
I said.
Tears welled up in my eyes and I couldn't see clearly.
I felt arms wrap around me and I cried even more.
"Please don't touch me, I dont deserve you, I'm pathetic, Its my fault that I didn't know about your world, I just wanted someone to finally love me but I guess I don't deserve love"
I cried and I tried to get away from him but it was no used.

Blake's P.O.V

I have never broken someone that I cared for. But here I am, hurting my mate.
"Dont you dare say all those things to yourself, I'm the one that doesn't deserves you, I know the moon goddess will punish me for all the pain I have cost you"
I told her. I kissed her neck and she pushed me away. Everytime she pushed me away it breaked my heart.
"Im sorry, I will never hurt you in anyway, please forgive me, I need you because-because"
I need to show how much I care for this girl, shes my lifeline and I can't loose her.
"Because what?!" She asked still crying.
"Because I love you Vanessa, and I would die for you and kill for you" I said loud and proud.
She stopped crying and looked at my eyes.
"You love me?"
She asked shocked of my confession.
"I do Vanessa"
I told her.
"I can't do this"
She said.
"I know I don't deserve your forgiveness and I surely know I don't deserve you but can you please atleast give me one week to show you that I'm worth another shot"
I told her. She looked into my eyes and nodded.
"I won't let you down I promise"
I told her.
We started to fix around the house since it was a mess and Leo couldn't pick it up on his own after we had our conversation.
It was time to sleep and we headed upstairs.
I saw her eyes were droopy and she was about to fall. I wrapped my arm around her waist and my other behind her legs to carry her bridal style. I laid her in bed and I was about to put the covers on her before she said something.
"Wait I have to take my pills"
"What pills"
I ask confused for her need of pills.
"Can you get them for me they are downstairs" She said getting up. I went down stairs and saw her prescribed pills. I decided to read what were all these pills for.
Depression
Sleeping
Anxiety
Eating disorder
I brought them up to her with a bottle of water and it broke my heart I did all this to her.
"I am so sorry I did this to you" I said my eyes getting glossy.
"Hey its ok, Im fine" She said.
"No you are not" I said.
I was about to walk out to sleep in the guess room but her voice made my feet to not move.
"Hey, no, please stay" She said desperate for my answer.
"Are you sure"
I asked her.
"I'm positive, now come and cuddle with me"
She said.
I went and wrapped my arms around her. I smiled and thank the moon goddess for Vanessa.
She looked up at me and I looked into her eyes. I kissed her and she didnt stop me.
I pulled away and had a smile on my face.
"Baby Steps" She said and turned around. I chuckled and wrapped my arms from behind her. I kissed her head and said good night. I didn't went to sleep until her breathing evened out and was soundlessle asleep. I looked up and thank the moon goddess again because I am truly thankful for having Vanessa by my side.I smiled and let darkness consume me.
