The minutes drew closer to midnight signifying the beginning of another year; a fresh page.
The velvet Melbourne sky was thick with the scent of liquor and perspiration. Music blared violently from the suburban house. Silhouettes of raucous teens cast under the moonlight.
"ROSIE! ROSIE! ROSIE!" An amalgamation of voices chanted spurring the young brunette on. She emptied the remnants of the bottle into a shot glass and brought it to her lips, swallowing the clear liquid in one quick motion.
The bottle dropped to the ground idly, shattering into a million pieces. Although the shrill was overshadowed by a chorus of cheers. She too punched the air, as a high pitched "woo" echoed the surroundings. Prior to the explosion of water that resulted from her toppling backwards into the swimming pool.
Even in her intoxicated state, for once she felt as if she were truly free. Laying there aimlessly, supported by the water.
"It's almost time!" Someone alerted, and with that she heaved herself out of the pool with a sigh. Leaving a watery trail as she made her way towards her bedroom.
As everyone was counting down somewhere in the background anticipating kisses. Unfortunately for Rosé she was met with the disappointed faces of her parents at the front door.
Three, two, one
Fireworks erupted against the dark canvas, while Rosé retched and the previously ingested alcohol was acquainted with her mother's designer heels. Their faces morphed from disappointment to utter disgust.

She had remained restless for the remainder of the night, the dull ache which followed that morning provided little consolation.
Her parents being busy executives left little time for their daughter. Oftentimes leading to such antics as an attempt to vie for their attention. In this case, the mother's Jimmy Choos would never be the same.
"How many more times Roseanne?" Her mother tutted. "Why have you become so out of control?"
She just simply shrugged her shoulders. "I'm a teenager now mom, what do you expect" she sighed.
"Your behaviour is unacceptable! We expect you to have respect for yourself and this household" her father lectured sternly.
"Boo-f*cking-hoo" she muttered, with a roll of her eyes.
Her father's blood was visibly boiling "Western culture has tainted you, if you're unappreciative of all we have given you then it's time for you to go without it" he concluded.
"W-what do you mean?" She stuttered, taken aback by the revelation.
"Pack your belongings, you're going to stay with your uncle in Korea"
With that sentence, Rose's world came crashing down around her. Being born in New Zealand and having lived in Australia for half her life, her only experiences of Korea were the occasional holiday visit to Seoul.
She recalled her father's humble beginnings in a rural village across the ocean. She scrunched her nose at the thought of having to live there, but with a sigh she knew there was little choice in the matter.
Sitting alone, in her dark bedroom curled up into foetal position a single thought echoed through her mind.
Oh boy I f*cked up.
A/N: Hi everyone! This is my first time writing BTS fanfiction so please treat me well! This one is set prior to BTS & Blackpink's debut so Taehyung would be 15 and Chaeyoung would be 13/14. The characters don't represent the idols irl obviously! This story will also be quite multifandom, I hope that will not be a problem.
